I am 25 weeks pregnant, and I feel like it is taking FOREVER to get to the 37-40 week mark. Is there anything I can do to make the time go by faster, or "seem" to go by faster. I am so bord. I don't work right now. So I have nothing to do.

I don't work either (stay at home mother) so I keep busy by doing projects around the house and making preparations for the baby. Here are some ideas:

1. Start on a scrapbook or baby book
2. Work on or update an online registry, or visit some stores (Target, Walmart, Babies R Us) and start one there. Have fun scanning!
3. Watch baby movies and read books
4. Do some "fall cleaning" around your house - you know, stuff you won't want to do when you're really big at the end....and when baby comes.
5. Do the stuff you won't have time for later - sorting through the garage, organizing closets and drawers, selling stuff on Ebay, have a yard sale, etc.
6. Chat with other expectant mothers online
7. Experiment with recipes or indoor gardening or some other hobby you might not have time to develop when your baby is first born
8. Get a manicure, pedicure or salon hair cut or style
9. Visit thrift shops, second hand stores and consignment shops for cute last-trimester maternity clothes

Congrats!

Since you have nothing to do build a time machine so you can make the time go faster and get to your 37-40 TH week.

I know how you feel. I also dont work right now, and I have done everything possible to keep myself busy. Reading, painting, puzzles, the babies room, shopping, cleaning, and it gets old. I am so tired of waiting!!!!! I have tried everything to make the time go by faster but I have yet to find something that works. Maybe go out and watch a movie.

It starts to go by faster, just take it day by day, enjoy this time now, because when the baby comes you wont have a minute to yourself. I agree, start the babys room, that always seems to take forever. Read some books pick out baby names.

Lol. Don't rush it!! Are you nuts??? Enjoy being able to do the things you do while you still can. I NEVER realized how hard it would be for me to do a simple task such as putting on socks. But to answer your question, why not plan the shower, start research as to what items you want to put on your registry( I'd really really recommend doing that...it took me about 2 months to figure out exactly what brand of everything I wanted), plan the room's theme, pick out a name. Trust me, it'll be over before you know it. Congrats!!

Go shopping for some baby clothes, or toys. Look at the educational stuff.

Or for yourself. Take walks, go to a restaurant, get a new hobby!! You can also go to the park or something like that. Try anything! You'll find something that helps eventually.

Oh my gosh. Do not feel bad. I am 35 weeks pregnant and sooooo ready to have this baby. My body is hurting and the baby is hurting me and i too am trying to figure out what to do to make my self hold on at least 2 more weeks. I am so anxious for her to get here. I ask you the same question. What should we do?????

You should try to enjoy this time because once your baby is born you won't have much free time anymore...for about the next 15 years.

So prepare the nursery, take pictures of your growing tummy, keep a journal for your baby when he/she grows up, read, research healthy recipes, write a book! No excuse for boredom when the world is so full of things to do.

It's going to seem longer for you because you don't do anything all day. Maybe take up a hobby, is there anything you like to do? My problem is the opposite of yours my days fly by half the time I feel there's not enough time in the day to do what I need to do.

Lol, make the most if it, because when the baby comes you won't believe how much you have to do in such little time!
take up an art? painting, pottery, yoga, cookery. Make a start on baby names, buying the odd bits and bobs for the baby. =]
