humm .....some people tell me that they dont remember feeling there contractions up until time to have the baby but then some tell me that is so painful....the whole time.....do contraction feel like the baby is sticking its but up in the air? does it mean that your stomach gets tight ...will i be able to tell , what one feels like without never haveing one before?

When does the food cravings start when pregnant? I am almost 8 weeks and have not yet had any cravings? Is it too early or is it just a case of not every pregnant women gets them?

Hi all, I am 5 months pregnant now and as usual I am dying to know my baby's gender but when I went for my USG they could not certainly tell me as the baby positioned itself in such a way that they said its "SHY"!!!
could anyone tell me any other process by which i can determine as to what am i having as i really wanna go shopping now! The sale and all is on!!
Could anyone also tell me how many times more will they go for USG as they said if I ask them to do it again...and there is no medical necessity for it so it won't be covered by my insurance! Any advice??

My fiance and I have been together for quite a while. We were using condoms for a while until we pushed other situations out of the way that gave us the decision not to use them anymore. Nothing bad. He's mentioned to me he doesn't want more kiddos (he's already got a 12 year old son) and I wouldn't mind kids, and even if we don't have one I'm still content. My point is he doesn't want me on birth control of any kind yet we're on the "pull and pray" method. He's said if I get prego then we'll be responsible and be parents. He's not too worried about things but I'm curiuos what the hell is going through his head and why a man would not want his girl on b/c if he doesn't want more kids. Sure I understand feeling and all but still. Need a lil' advice / help on this.

is it just me or is it scary that so many women and girls dont know how their own bodies work. do the schools not offer health anymore. how can you be a woman and not know how your period works. or when its due even. how pregnancy can and cant happen. and what birth control and condoms are and how to use them. ladies this is your body you should know how it works why certain things happen when certain things are due to happen. there is no excuse to not understand your own sexual health before ever having sex. it scares me to see soo many questions from women in most cases
can i get pregnant if i had sex on my period or while in a pool or hot tub. yes you can if the penis goes in you can get pregnant

or am i pregnant i had sex on saturday when can i test
or am i pregnant i had sex saturday started my period monday

this scares me that women dont know or understand how their own bodies work. the info is out there, if you dont know how pregnancy can occur keep your legs closed.

she is having her 3rd child and is at 4 cm dialated when she went to the doctor yesterday that is what they told her but she is not having real contractions yet y is that i have three kids myself and i was in hard hard labor with all three at 1 cm dialated so its kind of wierd to me ya know any suggestions or experiences would be great thanks

I am on metformin, I started on August 31 I had 2 reguler cycles (Sept 12, Oct 11) my af was to arrive on Nov 9th all that week I had af cramps as if it was coming but it never showed, anyone taking metformin ever experience this and y?

So far my af is 19 days late and still have no signs of it coming

I had a reguler 29 day cycle because of metformin, my af was suppose to arrive on the 9th of this month, around the time it was to arrive I had cramps all that week and the week before of and on but af never arrive, today I am 19 days late and no signs of af, I wake up every morning with a head ache, I'm barely hungry, and I also have nasseau, I did a $ tree hpt when I was 4 days late, anyone became pregnant when they have af cramps and no af, and anyone got a (-) hpt 4 days late then retest and got a (+)

I have been reading up on a D&C and that it may scar and damage the uterine lining possibly leading to problems later on for future pregnancies. This makes me extremely nervous and also makes me want to cancel my appointment at the hospital on Friday to have a D&C to remove my blighted ovum.

My husband and I will try again in about 6 months to a year, but really don't want to go through this heartbreak again. Has anyone had a D&C and went on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I have the choice of having a C-section or a natural birth. My first child had complications with natural birth. My doctors seem confident that they can make all the preparations for the child im pregnant with so as not to have the same problems, but there's no 100 percent guarantee. I think i want the C-section but I'd like to know what the differences are between recoveries, and what the best pain medication for a c-section would be. i heard spinal blocks are good. input ladies!! plz!!!

Ok so I just asked the question about missing birth control. I was supposed to start the active pills on Sunday but had no way to get to the pharmacy to pick them up, so I can get them later today, what should I do since I will have already missed Sunday and Monday. Should I just skip the month of December and start back up in January? If I did that would there be any side affects like more of a chance to get blood clots or anything? Sorry to ask so many questions but i could really use the help. Thanks!

hi i was at my midwifes last Thursday and she checked my blood pressure which was unusually high and said she would come out today to check again, anyway, she has been and it is sky high again and i also had protein and something else in my wee. i have been getting blurred vision and really bad headaches since i was 30wks and she said im border line pre-eclampsia and that she is coming out tomorrow to check bp again. what will happen if it is still high as im really worried

I am getting an ultrasound... its just a dating scan. I could be 15 - 16 weeks.

It said on the hospital's letter in bold print on a generic looking letter,

"It is the policy of the Australian Sonographer's Association not to u se ultrasound to determine the sex of the fetus"

I was like, what the hell? What sort of policy is this?

I was going to ask if they could see the sex or not. But I dont wanna ask now!

Can anyone explain this?

Ok first of all what i am about to write i know i have done wrong!!! I am a 28 woman will be 29 when this baby is born i am 22 weeks pregnant on thursday. This baby will be my 4th and my fiancee's 1st. The thing is i have not had a smear test (pap smear) Things have alway come up for me to cancel my appointment always the children. I am now feeling guilty for not having one. I didnt become sexually active until i was 18 i havent had many partners. Sombody please tell me i stupid and things will be ok please. Or you can scare the crap out of me and tell me the truth. There is no family history of cervical cancer i cant believe i have neglected my needs like this. I will have a smear test once this baby is born as they dont do smear while your pregnant in the UK
