Pregnancy - August 2007

My bf's ex-wife requested my gift registry, and shortly afterward she told me she would buy a necessary piece of baby furniture and have it shipped to us "next week after payday."

That was 8 weeks ago. The shower is this weekend, and Im due in less than 2 months.

I feel wierd asking her if she still plans on getting the crib for us. Her and I are friendly, but she and my bf are not. What is the tactful... if any... way to do this?

By the way they have a child together, so this is why we remain in contact... FYI just in case anyone wants to jump down by throat about why I talk to his ex-wife. (There have been alot of mean answerers on here lately, it drives me nuts! Be nice or dont answer for pete's sake.)

ok .. so today my boyfriend and I had sex ..and he came in me.. and I was supposed to start my new pack of birth control pills today .. but I didn't .. and my period ended 2-3 days early .. I didn't take any of the "sugar pills" in my last birth control pack.. I'm just wondering what are my chances of getting pregnant.. ? I probably wont take my birth control until tomorrow night .. I have to get to the pharmacy..

Ok - I work in an office where we have 2 girls from overseas. English is their 2nd language and sometimes they struggle a bit with our culture. They often come to me and ask questions and for advice. Today 1 of them came to me and said she might be pregnant. She took a test which was a BFP so I suggested she did another. I went with her to the pharmacy & got her one & suggested she get some pre-natal vitamins. This test also came back + so she is pregnant.
I have offered to take her to my doctor & told her I am there for her if she has any issues or wants someone to talk to. She is in her early 30s so she is not a young girl but she has no family here & I just really want to be there for her as she is my friend. The problem is I feel a bit jealous of her as I had a miscarriage 7 weeks ago & am still waiting for my periods to become regular so I can get pregnant again.I just want to be pregnant too & her news makes me a bit sad. Am I being too jealous or is it ok to feel this way?

I had my first son 4 weeks early and the doctors could give me no reason as to why. I am now pregnant with my second child and the midwives I have now are all interested to see if I will have this baby early. Since the doctors and midwives do not have an answer for me, I was wonder if anyone else has been in this situation, and what the outcome was.

My son was born health 4 weeks early, and had no medical problems. He was 5'6" at birth and left the hospital on time weighting 5 lb.

i have question about hpt?are they really that good to take BEFORE you are suppose to have your af???my period is not due until the 22 and i just took a ept a few minutes ago and it was negative. I have sore boobs, nausea, mad mood swings, and my face is breaking out. Im not real close to being due, but this was on my mind. After i do have my baby, i would like to get on birth control, because my husband and i would like to wait a few years before having another child. Which in your opinion is better the pill or the shot? Im afraid that i might not take the pill at the same time everyday, in case i forget, and then end up pregnant again. But i also dont like shots, but i can put up with them. Which would you think is better?? Thanks!!

First of all it is not me that is pregnant but my question is my freind is 7 weeks pregnant and she had been on 10mg of methadone a day due to back pain but is not prescribed by a physician. Do you think that her baby will be ok? If she tells her mid-wife that she is dependent on this will she tell authorities or not? I dont know much about the withdrawal of this or the side effects during pregnancy so should she reduce the doses until she is off of it or should she go cold turkey? Thanks in advance

Granted, I dont think you should just flop it out and not try to be a little bit modist. But if your nipple and such is not exposed and its just a little skin, not the whole breast--whats the big dea? I personaly will NOT feed my child in the bathroom! Thats just gross. And my opinion is if people dont like it, dont watch!? I dont think a childs head should have to be covered while they are eating as long as you pull your shirt down where your not flashing everyone, I mean come on we can do this and be modist too. So what is the big deal about breast feeding in a public place? Breast Feeding is not sexual in any way, its a natural way to feed your child. Any opinions on this, and please lets keep it polite. I was not rude in my question so I dont expect rude answers that some can give so easily. Thanks very much.

how can i get labor 2 start i have had plenty sex,being cleaning like crazy,ate some of spicy foods and done plenty walking and my baby still hasnt showed much signs of him coming

Anyone in favor of Yahoo passing out pregnancy tests when you reach certain levels? Light bulbs and tote bags are great, but it seems people need the tests more. Maybe then the "Am I pregnant" questions will stop.

I'm a 23 yr old male & I've been seeing a woman that is 39, her name is Tammy & she is married with 3 kids, but she said she is bored with her husband & doesnt have the feelings she had for him like she did. Her kids are 10, 7 & 5.
Tammy is attractive & has a great body, but a little weight below the waist, which i like! You can tell shes a mom. I've been seeing her for the last 2 mths, I'm not sure if shes loves with me or if she just uses me to poke her. She had a lot of support for me last month when I had my kidney stone. I had to have a scope shoved up my dick twice which makes urination a very painful experience, they couldnt find anything, then I ended up having an attack a few days later & I ended up passing it 2 days later. a week ago, I told Tammy that it turns out that I had passed a calcium stone & she went on to say now I know what childbirth feels like then she said she was pregnant & she hasnt been having sex with her husband. How are we going to keep this from him?

Ever since I got pregnant my self exteem has gone way down. Sometimes I feel really unattractive and I don't even want to get intimate with my fiance anymore. I've always been pretty small, I weighed 114 pounds before I got pregnant now all of a sudden I weigh 147 pounds and have stretch marks and all the other normal pregnancy stuff. I get the fact that I have to live with some of the changes ( like stretch marks) Is there anything I could do to get my self esteem back up? Do you think changing something about myself like a new haircut or something like that could help???? I'd really appreciate some good advice. Thank you all!
