You will gain weight, but that doesn't mean you will gain fat. As long as your eating a well balanced diet and can manage to stick to some sort of exercise routine, you will do just fine. Talk to your OB about how many calories you should be taking in a day and what kind of exercise is good for you and the little one. I actually walked out of the hospital 15 pounds lighter than when I got pregnant and never suffered through morning sickness.
Congratulations Mommy!!!!

Focus on veggies, calciium, and protein in your diet, and engage in low-impact exercise. Anything you are now doing for exercise you can probably continue to do. Check with your dr.
Staying healthy won't necessarily help with labor, but you and the baby will be healthier, and isn't that what it's all about? If you have good endurance you will get thru a long labor better, tho.

It's going to be super easy at first to watch what you eat, but if you are like me the last trimester will be a real test!!! I was underweight when I got pregnant & would eat whole trays of brownies in my last trimester. I gained almost 50 lbs, but lost it all in 4 months. Just watch what you eat. Don't give in to cravings for sweets. If you crave sweet eat fruit & not a brownie, if you crave salty eat celery & peanut butter....stuff like that. Good luck. (I can tell you are probably going to be one of those really fit pregnant girls with just belly & no other fat....I hated you when I was pregnant!!! LOL) Oh, and exercising.....walking & swimming were the best for me...especially swimming it makes you feel weightless good for towards the end, but I lived in Florida & had a pool.

Most of the exercise you did before getting pregnant will be fine during but make sure to run them by your doctor. During the first trimester you won't need too many extra calories but for the rest you will need 300-500 extra a day. Stick to a low fat high fiber diet with plenty of fruits and veges and you will be fine.

walk, eat a lot of salads and fruit, go for bike rides and just normal stuff. During my first pregnancy I starting eating a lot of candy thinking that because i was pregnant i could do whatever i wanted but i gained 60 pounds because of it. During my second i gained 25 pounds(normal) and ate the way i should and walked a lot. Just do everyday activities and eat healthy.
