I have a midwife and the birth center is nice but it's about 35 minutes away from where I live. The problem is that she says that I would have to go home shortly after birth because she doesn't have the resources to let me sleep afterward.

Does this sound like a bad idea or do you think that I will WANT to go home? Thanks.

I have had 2 vaginal births (both with epidurals) and 1 c section. My doc said with this pregnancy I can try for a Vbac if there are no problems. I am wanting to try natural all the way. I'm pretty tolerant of pain so I know I can do it. I would love some suggestions on managing your pain and labor. Stories are welcome too. Thanks!

I am about 37 weeks along and my doc told me that my baby was in breach position. She told me that she could try to turn her around, but that it only had a 50% chance of doing so, and there was a risk of rupturing the placenta and having to go into an emergency c-section. This is all just so I could deliver vaginally.
On the other hand, she also said that I could just go ahead and schedule a c-section a week before my due date and deliver her that way.
I was wondering what would be the point of turning her around and going through all that risk just to deliver vaginally? I am leaning towards scheduling a c-section because it seems like a simple and safe procedure whereas the turning thing seems kinda risky. I only have about a week to decide what I am going to do. Any insight?

I am curently going through a miscarrage and for the past few days the bleeding has been fairly light. A little while ago i started cramping harder than usual. I felt something was wrong. I went to the bathbroom and blood was coming out very hard. I hurried and got into the shower where it continued to pour out. I called the doctor and the nurse said some women experiece heavy bleeding. But I still feel something is wrong. i am suppose to go in later today. Is something seriously wrong or am I just gettin worked up over nothing?

Im 38 weeks today and omg ive never been more exhausted. Its 9:30am and I just woke up and already my body is aching when I havent even done or gone anywhere. I didnt get any sleep last night because my legs were in so much pain, i tried everything to try to feel better but nothing worked. Im praying today is the day that my little girl will decide its time to come out because if she gets any bigger im gonna die!

Did anyone feel like this when it was around that time, or when you were just getting farther and farther along??

Does anyone know of any signs I should watch out for to know that its almost time..anything will be helpful to encourage me.lol.

oh and one more thing..I went to the hospital 2 or 3 days ago and I was 3 cm..most women stay at 1 or 2 but is 3cm normal to stay at?? what should i think of that.

I am recently married to my husband whom i adore and am very attracted to, I believe he feels the same way. We dated for about 5 years before we married and have always had a good to normal sex life, i trust him and have never suspected him of cheating. i recently found out i was pregnant and my husband is thrilled. Our lovemaking has slowed down a bit understandibly. My question is lately he has been waking me up in the middle of the night to have sex, but he is alseep at the time! He doesnt even remember in the morning. He is never violent, mostly playful but very aggresive,it hurts my feelings that he isnt as into it in the waking hours. This has never happned before and seems to have started around when i got pregnant. Should i be nervous, he has been very stressed lately and works a million hours to save money for the baby, and has been fixing our house on the weekends, he has been drinking a lot more lately which i have been letting go because he's with friends. What do i Do?

I work at a law firm full of men and I don't think they would respond particularly well to the pregnancy. I'm only 10 weeks but I fear that I'll start showing soon.

I am 3 or 5 (menstrual) weeks pregnant. When is it time to start seeing a physician? Also I am 21 and pregnant. I have been with my boyfriend for 6 years and I am a college student. Should I feel bad or ashamed although my boyfriend and I are excited? How common is this and what are your opinions?

If you were to have a miscarriage at 10 weeks, would you be able to tell it was a baby once the fetus is expelled? I've been having brown spotting on and off for about a week and yesterday I could have swore I seen something grey looking on the toilet paper, but it was really small. I haven't had any red spotting or bleeding or any cramps. But I was just wondering if you could expell the fetus without actually bleeding and if so, would you be able to tell it was an actual baby?

Im eight months pregnant and I've recently started to have a guilty concience about my vitamins, I've been pretty good about taking them but b4 i got pregnant i had never been a good pill taker and sometimes i now forget to take my vitamins for days at a time. I seem to be in the habit of doing a 2wk on 1 wk off type of routine and i dont realize it until its already over. Is it going to affect my baby since i had a weird vitamin schedule? and didnt always take them?

I'm currently taking Microgynon 30, which i've been on for around two years. Lately i've been quite bad with taking it, I missed one tablet 3-4 weeks ago and took two the next day, and recently i've picked up a bad habit of taking them late in the day aswell. I have had a breakthrough bleed and i'm now halfway through another pack but i'm really worried I might be pregnant, due to the fact that i'm really bloated, spotty, feel nauseous in the mornings, headaches all the time etc. Please help!

Out of 4 dreams, 3 of those it was a girl, only one of these dreams it was a boy. Each time I gave birth it was a water birth. I have wanted to be pregnant for a while and me and my husband have tried several months with no success. We figured if we stopped trying so hard and just let life happen on its own it will eventually happen. Coming to that conclusion I havent really thought about being or wanting pregnancy for the past month or so. So why now the dreams?

I went to the doctor last Friday because I've been having some brown spotting that comes and goes. At my appointment they heard a strong heartbeat through a doppler, but they didn't do an ultrasound. So I'm still a little worried. I've still been having the brown spotting on and off since my appt. Should I be worried, what could the spotting be coming from? What are the chances of having a miscarriage if you hear a strong heartbeat at 10 weeks?
