I am 18 weeks pregnant and still experiencing morning sickness. I have only gained 5 pounds. I don't eat healthy b/c i try to eat things that I will be able to keep down. I am so scared this is going to hurt my baby but i don't know what to do. I do take my prenatal vitamin every day. Any suggestions?

I lost about 25 lbs when I was pregnant with my first child, i actually weighed less when I delived then when I first found out I was pregnant. I gave birth to a healthy baby girl weighing 7lbs 5 oz. I just could not eat when I was pregnant, but I did take my vitamins and drank plenty of fluids. Good luck to you.

Don't worry about it some people can loose weight when there pregnant and some people experience morning sickness all through pregnancy. As long as you eat as healthy as possible to make sure that your baby is getting vitamins hat it needs and keep Alcohol to a minI'mum im sure everything will be fine if you are still worried ask about it at your next midwife appointment and also ask if the baby is a normal size at your next scan appointment I'm sure everything will be fine but you may feel better if you just ask to put your mind at rest. I hope this has helped. Good luck for the rest of your pregnancy not that i think you will need it. Hope i have helped a little

This is totally normal! Don't sweat it. Some women experience hyperemesis (extreme morning sickness that can last the whole 9 months)....some women can only hold down bland carbs (like potatoes & pasta).

The baby will take what he or she needs from you. It's really YOU who suffers in terms of vitamin & mineral depletion when you can't eat enough.

The good news is at least you are getting down a pre-natal vitamin. Some women can't get that down. The vitamin will help get you some of what you need.

Chances are, your baby will be perfectly healthy and will get everything he or she needs from you.

Just do the best you can. Eat what you can and drink plenty of water so you don't become dehydrated.

And if you are getting really worried, please don't hesitate to call your doctor. Your doctor will give you the best advice for you and your baby.

Good luck and best wishes!

Even with morning sickness your baby will be healthy. It will eventually go away. I had only gained 4 lbs by the time I was 4 months so that is fine. As long as you are taking your viatmins and have the ability to keep some things down you will be fine. You still have a ways to go. You might talk to your doctor they should be able to perscribe you a medication to help with me nausea. Good luck

Morning sickness can go all the way to the end however I wish that on NO ONE!!! It truly sucks. Keep taking your vitamins and talk to your Dr. They can prescribe you a mild medication to help with the nausea. At least you might be able to get a good meal down once in a while.

Just hang in there. Lots of women experience this same problem- supposed to eat right but nothing stays down!!! Remember if it stays down 20 minutes you got all the vitamins out of the food in your system! It will be ok!

the morning sickness will slow down in your second trimester, at least you are gaining and not losing as long as you take you vitamins you should be fine, if you are really concerned then bring this up with your doctor and I am sure he/she will tell you the same thing.

Calm Down First and take a few deep breaths stressing out is definitley not good for your baby My one and only suggestion is to tell your doctor your full situation they can't help you out unless they know everything. and if something is wrong or they're worried about your weight gain they will def. let you know okay don't worry im sure everything will be fine and your baby will come out perfect.

everytime you feel nausea eat saltine crackers, enough to settle your stomach. Also gingerale if you can tolerate it. Then eat 3 healthy meals a day if nausea disipates!!! The 5 food groups!!! if that doesnt work you r doctor should be able to help you and should have by now!!!
are you hiding something from him ??? some reason you havent told him of your problem ???

Try crackers (saltine) & gingerale -- if that doesnrt work YOU MUST TELL HIM for your babie's sake !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to stay away from greasy food.. don't take your vitamins with citrus juice that can make you nauseous too. Oh, and try taking your vitamins at night.. that helped me.
