Yes, I remember feeling that way. But don't push yourself over the edge by praying that your child will be born now! It doesn't work. And honestly, do you want to be the type of mom who constantly pushes her child to do things before they are ready? So when you talk to her, tell her, "I'm so excited to see your face. Come as soon as you can..." and stuff like that.
It will be time to go to the hospital when you get contractions that you have to THINK through (i.e., you can't talk and you don't want anybody talking to). Or when your water breaks, esp. if you are Group B Strep +.
Usually, the baby quiets down about 24 hours before labor starts. So if the baby is moving around and kicking a lot, that will slow down. The best think you can do when that happens is sleep and eat good, healthy meals because you will need the energy for labor.
Sorry to say but 3 cm doesn't mean much. Some women are there for weeks before labor.
Spend your time enjoying a little extra romance with your husband (since it will be hard to find the time after the baby is born). Do what you like to do. Get a pedicure. Go to the movies. Read a fabulous novel. Call a camera store or photography instructor from your local community college and ask for a one-hour lesson on taking better pictures of your baby (SOOOOO worth the time!!!). Make the most of the time you have left.

Yes. I thought I was going to die. I didn't want to be touched or even looked at! It goes away, it will come to an end, it just doesn't seem like it now! In the days leading up to my delivery, I was a cleaning freak and I felt really good. I needed everything perfect, I folded and re-folded the baby clothes like 20 times. That's not an exaggeration! I didn't have any low back pain the day my water broke but I do know women who have had the dull ache in the lower back on the day. I wish I could help you with the dilation part but I didn't dilate at all, plus I was two weeks late. So I feel your pain. Good luck and I hope you have a smooth delivery and you can kiss and hug your little girl soon!

Yes, it's definitely normal to feel that tired and sore when you could deliver any day. I felt the same way with both my pregnancies. I did get sudden bursts of energy, though, so if you get any of those, I'd suggest walking as much as you can, as that will help speed the baby dropping and the labor process. :) If it's too hot where you live to walk outside, try mall walking. The signs you'll see next will be a leak or rush of amniotic fluid, and then you know the time is REALLY close! :) It's normal to stay at 3 cm (or even more) for several weeks, so just because you're dilated doesn't mean you'll have the baby today, but it doesn't mean you won't either! LOL Just stay as active as you have the energy to, and rest whenever you need to. You deserve it! Oh, and homemade lasagna worked to put me into labor. Email me if you want a yummy recipe for it! :) (It also worked for several of my friends! hehe). COngrats and good luck!!! :D

I'm pretty sure if you are 3cm dilated then it will happen any time now. I suggest you find some reading material, or grab your laptop if you are wireless ad sit in bed and just do as little as possible. Surf the net, play games, read, whatever suits you but just take it easy. Everything else can wait. I really hope things happen for you soon, as i know how awful that exhaustion can be. Take care and good luck xx

You should call your doctor. You may be jsut going through labor....but it could be a little more serious. Mostly you want to get monitored to make sure the baby is not under any stress. If you were at 3 2 -3 days ago..seems like you are prob dilating more and thats why you are in pain....it may be baby time...

Some signs to look for..........when you go to the bathroom your mucus plug is there. When you wipe yourself there is a substance like stringy mucus........that is the mucus plug. You are well on your way honey. Being 3cm is a 1/4 away from delivering. Usually and I say usually is because the day you actually deliver you feel like 'garbage' If you are uncomfortable staying at home at 3cm, call your Dr's office and tell them you are going back to the hospital and wait there where there is help for you. CONGRATULATIONS on your new little life........Good Luck !!!!

I was 3 cm for a mth and going to work everyday, if your doc isn't worried then you shouldn't be. As for being exhausted...God i was so tired that i drank as much gatorde as i did water. Load up on carbs! it helped me a lot! sleep was elusive, but you should try to nap whenever you can. showers used to help me feel more relaxed and sleep better. The farther along i got the more uncomforatble everthing became, but once the baby got here i forgto it all. (for a sec)

Yes I felt this way too. For your legs try a nice warm bath to help your tired muscles relax. About being dialated, they will only keep you if you're contracting. You must not be having recognizable contractions yet. Don't worry the pregnancy will end soon enough and once your baby is here and your belly is gone you'll miss the belly.
