How likely is it to miscarry if a strong heartbeat is detected at 10 weeks but you're having brown spotting (discharge)?

I've called the doctor and they said not to worry unless it turned bright red, but I'm still concerned. What could be causing it?

your body may be expelling the old blood. the mucus plug around the cervix is probably forming as long as your doctor said you are fine and the baby has a strong heartbeat, don't add more stress to yourself you should be fine, some women bleed through their whole pregnancy.

i had brown discharge at about 9 weeks and it stopped pretty quickly ( i hpoe yours does too). I went to get it checked out at the doctor but she said that they usually aren't worried if it is brown as it is old blood (most lilkely from a burst blood vessel) but more worrying if it is red or pink and fresh. With the strong heartbeat at 10 weeks you are more than liklely ok but if you are worried and the bleeding is going on for a while just go to the doc and get it all checked out. Good luck.

Listen to your doctor and pay attention to the spotting. As long as a heartbeat was detected you are ok.

My doctor told me in early pregnancy it's normal to have like brown discharge because it's just your body discharging all the old lining and stuff from inside of you.

If doctor has no concern, then please DON'T Stress/worry about it, it'll only make things worse. Just relax, take it easy, don't do any hardwork. Drink plenty of water. Best thing I would just keep my feet up as much as possible and don't stress.

Your okay, don't do anything like lifting and take your prenatal pills and drink lots of water. It could be implementation bleeding.

Consult with your physician. Things can happen at any point in any pregnancy.
