Pregnancy - July 2007

Hello all!

I'm thinking I may be pregnant (with my 2nd) although I use condoms religiously. My period isn't late yet...I'm due tommorrow...but I normally have spotting a day or 2 before which I haven't had yet. I've had a lot of unusual symptoms which I seem to recall from my last pregnancy. I also had a little spotting around the 10th of this month (about a week after the day I think I got pregant). I've been really tired, had some unusual feelings in my left side, headaches, a little sickness to certain smells, breast swelling but not sore. All my symptoms seem to add up but what are the odds since we were using condoms the entire time & it didn't break to our knowledge? Thanks guys!

Hi, I am currently studying at Harvard (will be my final year in the fall) and I just found out that I'm pregnant. Although, when I graduate I'm going for my PhD after as well. I was shocked because my boyfriend and I were always careful. He is going into his second year of Harvard med next year, and wants to keep the baby. I told him this would nearly destroy his career or at least delay it very much. I thought abortion but he would never go for that. I know there is no way I could raise a baby properly while we were both still in school, but he thinks we can do it. He wants to be an oncologist, so I know that will require a fellowship, etc and he will be very busy even 5-10 years after he graduates.

I know he's the one I'm going to marry, we've been dating about 3 years, but I want him to fufill his dream. How can I explain to him that adoption/abortion is the best thing for us?

I am about 7 weeks pregnant with my first baby. During weeks 5 and 6 I had very uncomfortable cramps....Dr. said it was normal if not accompanied by bleeding ( I had no bleeding.) I'm just wondering if anyone with a tilted uterus experienced the same thing and what else I can expect?

Hi! I am going to drive for 6 hours to move to a new city this weekend. Do you have any advice on traveling while pregnant? Is it safe for your baby if you do a lot of driving? What should I do to make it more comfortable. My family says it would be too much to take a break every hour. Is that too much? I hear you suppose to stretch and walk around but do I need to do that every hour (it is a 6 hour drive afterall..) I am only concerned about my baby's health. I am 27 weeks along.... would it harm the fetus? Thanks for any advice!
Another thing... does anybody had the experience of moving - relocating while pregnant? Any advice on finding a new doctor/hospital ? THANKS!!!

Ok well I know what you go to them for but I am confused I don't know if the doctor I go to is an OB/GYN. On the paper he gave me that lists all the medications I can and cannot take while pregnant it says " Dr. Blah B Blah, MD. So is he an OB/GYN and I can go to him for all my vagina problems or do I need to find an OB/GYN. Oh I think on his office door it says Gynecologist . Sorry I'm confused I've had the same doctor since I was 5. And now I have a new one and I don't know much

I really need to know if it is normal for women to be disrespectful during this stage, I mean calling me name's and just flipping out over everything. This is my first child and I need to know if I should be concerened. She has only been this way for the past 3 weeks? She has said some pretty mean things, and I need help understanding this.

Have a question. I had that blood work done that identifies if you're a higher risk for Downs etc. Mine came back abnormal. Although my ultra sound measurements came back normal. Nurse said it could be due to my age, 35. Have you been through any of this? I appreciate any advice. What exactly are they looking for in your blood work? I go for genetic counseling tommorow and I'm scared.

Well my doctor is officially the biggest Biotch in the world!
I am not going to be induced on Thursday now she wants me to come and see how far I am dilated then decide what she's going to do not if she's going to induce me but just to see what her next step is this is really aggravating I will be 42 weeks and 1 day pregnant by that time. I’m sure she's not going to induce me on Friday cause she probably doesn't want to work on the weekend so that means she probably want induce till next Monday when I will be 42 weeks and 5 days pregnant. This is getting ridiculous. I am on the verge of drinking castor oil. I am on the verge of wanting to kick my doctor upside her stupid a$$ head. Sorry to vent I am just tired of being pregnant this long when I had my 2 sons before 40 weeks my other doctor was kind enough to induce me and not make me suffer. And to beat that all I have to go see my lawyer July 27th then turn around and go to my Final divorce trial August 1st Seems I am going to be only less than a week post partum after having baby then have to deal with all my court issues.

well exactly a week and 2 days ago i have unprotected sex 3 times....and i was due one on the 14th i took a pregnancy test and it said not pregnant...is it too early to tell? i have booked an appointment at the hospital to see someone to do another pregnancy test but she said on the phone the ones in the shop are pretty accurate is it still worth going? an will they be able to tell this early?

If you answer this i used the clear blue pregnancy text and th first line came up with a clear blue negative line to say negative but nothing came up in the confirmation results box and in the instructions it said something had to come up to confirm results

I am 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant and earlier a car backed out out in front of my car and i stomped on the breaks so i woudnt hit the other car. The seatbelt tightened like it would have if I was in an accident. Could this hurt the baby? It hurt for a minute after but now its fine, no bleeding or cramping. If i start cramping or something does this mean i am having a misscarriage from this? Thanks so much for anyone who is kind about this. The reason I am so nervous is because we were ttc for a year before we finally conceived and I am just so scared to lose this baby. What would you do in this situation? thank you so much!

im about 10+ weeks and im having alot of diarrhea since friday ive been on antibiotics for a virus i had ,which set me off but ive stopped taking them now and still it continues
my doctor is not concerned but im worried im loseing weight and the babys not getting any vitamins im finding it hard to eat much
is there anything i can take that will help ease the problem ive really had enough now

hi all im on my 22nd week of pregnancy i recently read in 1 my baby books that at my stage shouldnt be needing go toilet often but im constantly at the toilet so hasnt really changed since 1st stage i feel like im going more now do you think it maybe got something do with position baby is in? thanks xx

she hasnt had it in 3 months and shes worried that shes pregnant..but shes still a virgin we havent had sex...but she's getting all the signs of being pregnant...im trying to say its all in her head and her mind is making it seem like she is, but she wont believe me & she doesnt wanna take a test to find out...and i know a lot of answers will come up saying shes been doing stuf behind my back, but she is a virgin!!!!
