Using a "self tanning" lotion should be safe for you and baby. Do stay out of the bed. that is a recipe for disaster....

Tanning lotions are too "young" to have any sort of track record of being safe or not. If you are 35 weeks then why not wait the last 5 out and not risk harming your baby. There are a lot of things in those tanning lotions that could be systemic, and could harm your baby. Better to be safe than sorry and a "fake tan" isn't really worth it.

I asked my Dr this same question. He said the lotion tanners are okay. I just used one and Im 30 weeks. Go ahead, its not going to harm your baby, but if you feel any doubt, just ask your obgyn and they will tell you their opinion. Good luck with the baby and congrats :)

I wouldn't think it would hurt the baby.. I'd just make sure it doesn't have any harmful ingredients in it. Check the labels, and consult a doctor if you're worried about your childs health.
