Not very likely. At 5 weeks the uterus is still in the pelvis and way below level of the seat belt and would not have been touched by the belt tightening. The uterus does not rise above the pubic bone until 12 weeks.your baby is protected inside your uterus in a small bag if fluid which protects it from a fair amount of trauma.I therefore would not be too concerned.
See" is it safe to use a seat belt during pregnancy". This should reassure you(she was 12 weeks and wearing seat belt.)

I'm guessing that you were going slow because you were on a residential street. You are probably OK, but it won't hurt to check with your doctor. In fact, if you are so concerned to write here, you should make an appointment with your ob/gyn immediately. If you miscarry, it may or may not be from the accident. Cramping or spotting blood can be a sign of a serious problem; however, modern medicine and rest can do wonders. Anytime you find anything unusual, such as spotting blood, then don't hesitate to go to the doctor or emergency room immediately.

The regulation in Australia states that the motive force is to blame for the protection of all occupants, which comprise that of wearing seat belts. in case you're pulled over by making use of the police and that they don't seem to be, then not in ordinary terms do they get a great, the motive force additionally does. So in short particular.

When I was about as far along as you are now, my husband and I were in a collision. He had rear ended his best friend, the seat belt tightened up on me and everything. And we hit his friend going about 40 mph. Now I'm 37 weeks pregnant with a sassy little girl.
My friend is about 20 weeks pregnant and she was in a wreck and the seat belt tightened on her, she went to the doc and she is fine.
If you experience cramping or any sort of pain then go to the emergency room. Until then call your doctor, they may want you to come in just to make sure your alright.

Honestly, i think you're fine. Baby is still really small and it would take a lot of force to hurt him. If you are feeling uneasy about this, call your doctor. They can schedule an ultrasound so you can hear the heartbeat and that'll reassure you that everythings ok. This is what I would do in this situation. Well good luck and take care!!

You need to go in and just get checked out to make sure you dont have placenta previa, I have heard you may not always bleed noticably and if you do then you want to know right away, good luck, I think you will be fine.

No. The little one at this stage is well tucked into the pelvis and very protected. Short of a broken pelvis (which obviously didn't happen) the little one is quite safe. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.
