I am about 7 weeks pregnant with my first baby. During weeks 5 and 6 I had very uncomfortable cramps....Dr. said it was normal if not accompanied by bleeding ( I had no bleeding.) I'm just wondering if anyone with a tilted uterus experienced the same thing and what else I can expect?

hey there,
I have tilted uterus, and i have to say i have heard of so many people with tilted uterus and i never heard of any problems with it, but since it is not very common we tend to worry about it..

actually i had a miscarriage and then i didnt know i had tilted uterus, so when doc told me that i have tilted uterus, i freaked out, and i thought i am not going to have baby anymore!! and when i talked to my midwife about it, she smiled and said that it has absolutely nothing to do with it and i will be just fine.

so i am pregnant again now, and i am 12 weeks and 2 days!! my midwife told me that i might experience alittle bit of more lower back pain at early pregnancy which i did!! and she said i might also show earlier!!! which i do!!!

having cramps is totally normal and everyone get it early pregnancy it is just the contractions of our uterus growing. nothing to be worried about until u have bleeding.

being worry about every little thing is part of being a mom-to-be!! congrats sweetheart. hope everything goes well with you and your precious one.

p.s. i just remembered... our uterus will go to a normal position when baby grows bigger and bigger. so no worries.. hugs

Hi! I'm 23 years old, Married, 2nd pregnancy, my first was a miscarriage at 7 weeks 2 days, on October 1, 2006. We recentely found out we're pregnant again and things look swell!

I have a tilted uterus, it's retroverted, towards my spine really bad. It makes it extermely difficult to see anything doing a sonogram, unless we use the vagina probe.

B/c of my previous miscarriage, when I started cramping during weeks 5-6 I went to the ER scared to death. I had no spotting, no bleeding, just a couple bad sleepless nights of cramps. I was actually told b/c my beta hcg levels were exteremely high, and consider when we did a ultrasound we only saw a yolk sac, no fetal pole, no heartbeat, which is uncommon for someone who's beta hcg level's are almost 30,000. He sent me home and told me to wait out my miscarriage. I went back two days later for a second opinion, and low and behold there was a beautiful miracle healthy fetal pole, and a heartbeat of 140 b/p/m.

I don't know if having a tilted uterus causes the pain, or more pain/cramps than usual, but don't worry. As long as you're seeing what you need to during your ultrasounds you'll be okay!

We had a another check-up at 7 weeks at a free clinic locally, and come to find out, the reason our hcg levels are as high as they are, is because it's TWINS!!! So we went from thinking we had one baby, to no baby, back to one baby, and now to twins! We found two heartbeats- 131 b/p/m and 139 b/p/m, one sac, at exactly 7 weeks 0 days.

So stay positive NO MATTER WHAT through-out your pregnancy.

i have a tilted uterus and my pregnancy's have been pretty normal. i was told by my dr, that cramping is normal due to my body getting used to not having a period at this early of stage. so as long as no bleeding you should be fine.
congratulations on new baby. good luck to you.
