guys.....i just ate a slice of choc cake - and then i foundout that it has brandy in it. I was wondering if its ok ...esp since i am in my 1st trimester. Please lemme know.

We had our sonogram last week and I'm still a little upset. During the sono, the doctor rushed through it. He didn't go over the body parts, just kinda said everything looks great. He stood up, turned off the machine and said "oh, do you want to know what it is?" We were like yes. As he's walking out the door, he says "it's a boy." My husband said maybe it's because we already have 3 others, but I still would have loved for this songram to be just as special. Our last sonos were at this same place, but a different doctor. We have Aetna insurance, so I felt jipped! My others were such great experiences! Maybe I'm overreacting. What do you think?

I'm 17 weeks pregnant and i just had my B12 tested b/c I was deficient and have taken B12 shots before. (around 5 years ago) My results just came back & it was 147. normal is 220-1100. I've looked online & it said that if you were deficient you should take folic acid & folate...I've been taking my prenatal vitamins since week 4... so does this mean it was lower that that? It also said that it could cause neurological defects in the baby. My dr is at lunch and I have to call back at 3pm est. Is this something that I should worry about because right now my nerves are shot and will be until I speak with the dr. Anyone else been through this? I also had the AFP test done but the results aren't back yet...now I'm scared about the results because of my B12 results.

Hi! I'm 17 wks pregnant and for the past few days in my office we have been having electrical failure and now no air conditioning and the temperatures are reaching somewhere into the early 90's lately as summer blooms. I am feeling extremely uncomfortable, slightly light headed and getting a bad headache from the heat. I am drinking as much water as possible. Is this just a straight up bad situation to be in while pregnant, or should i just bear it until the problem is solved? Anyone?

i am 9 1/2 weeks. i was on zofran until my insurcance stopped paying for it. it was $70 for 8 pills! anyways, the doctor put me on tigan. i take every 4 hours. i am still getting sick on it. i have taken it for three days now. i cant make it through one hour without dry heaving or throwing up.

should the medication have kicked in by now? is there something else i can take that wont harm the baby? i am afraid to ask because they will have to resort to something more harmful.

also, i am allergice to compizine and cant take medications in the same family.

are there any other options? i have to work full-time and i answer phones all day. all i want to do is go home and sit in the bathroom all day.

My thing is, you know what you're doing while you're having sex and there are ways to prevent pregnancy, so why have an abortion when something could have been done ahead of time. Take birth control, use a condom, or something. Anything but abortion.

Hi I just found out saturday that I was pregnant and now I am really worried because at first my fiance had no problem w/ trying to conceive now he has been acting funny and starting to feel we should do an abortion I have no Idea why he changed his mind all of a sudden and I dont want him to feel trapped I want to keep my baby but I cant come home to him and he is upset and not happy I am torn I dont know what to do I am afraid to say that I want to keep my baby because I told him that I was going to go through w/ the abortion and now he is happy but I am not but I dont want to see him down it seems like I want to keep the baby and I am happy and he wants to kill the baby and he is happy. What do you think I should do I dont want him to be miserable and I dont want to regret any bad decisions

i normaly hav a 31-day cycle...i had sex w/ my partnr on the 22nd day of my current cycle... my ovulation day is about on the 17-18th day.... im prety sure that i ovulated that day due to the presnce of my cervical mucus that s so thick and stretchy... thanks n advance 4 ur serious and informative answers..

I had a C-section on 5/24/07 and I have been home for a fdays and I am still so tired. I am getting about 5-6 hours a sleep which is more than I got while pregnant and I just have no energy. My incision still hurts pretty bad too, especially when getting out of bed. I am afraid the sitting up motion is causing damage.
Is all of this normal and when can I expect to have some energy again? I have cut down to only taking my pain meds at night cause they make me so sleepy.I would appreciate any advice

im about 6 weeks pregnant i psoted earlier as i had a scan and it showed a heart beat but it was beating as fast as they had expected it too so i wanted to know if any1 had experienced this and there baby be ok. ive also had alot of brown discharge not so long ago but it is definatley brown not red at all, i didnt have a period after my last miscarriage before i fell pregnant could this be the reason why some one please help me im going out of my mind

the doctor stripped my membranes today, i was wondering if anyone else has had this done and if it worked. She said i was 3cen dilated and that i was probably 4 by time she was done....how long before i can expect any contraction, or anything?

Went to a nail salon on Friday to get my nails taken off because i just couldn't deal with them anymore. It seemed like now that im pregnant they became more aggravativg and in the way so time went by faster than i realized. I ended up being there for 3hours. I set in the back where the only do feet and eyebrows so the fumes weren't so strong, but i feel awful and i hope everything is OKAY!!! I didn't have any pains and i still don't i'm just worried. I go for my first ultrasound on Monday June 4th, to see exactly how far i am. Should i call the doctor now or what should i do? What do you guys think the case could be from my actions of STUPIDITY?

Hi I am 4 weeks pregnant and I just found out that I have a kidney infection i noticed that when i urinate that its like blood thats coming out a little like maybe a light period and I just want to now should I be cocerned and if anyone else has experenced this while pregnant and how it turned out. I am 8 weeks pregnant. For about the last week I have had discomfort in my lower back. Not cramps just achy. It is as low as my bottom. I did break my tail bone about a year ago. I am wondering if I should call my doctor to see if this is normal. Thanks.
