Are you sure you are not pregnant? Well, my suggestion would be to see your Gyno.....It could be a number of things but only he could tell you for sure. :)

If you aren't pregnant or on a birth control method that is supposed to prevent your period, then not having your period is probably a problem. It is a sign that your body is not working as it should, whether it is hormonal, stress, diet, or something else it is not right. If you have lost a lot of weight, that can sometimes do it, and you should probably try to slow your weight loss.
Depending on your age you could also be either young enough that your period is not reqular yet, or old enough that you are beginning perimenopause, which can begin as early as 35 years.
You should see your doctor, because this could range from a serious problem to normal fluctuations, and you need to know so you can take appropriate action.

Aside from things mentioned above, if you exercise a LOT (iirc 15+ hours a week of fairly intense exercise) you can lose your periods despite being of a healthy weight and without losing any weight.

Also, someone mentioned menopause... menopause can start even younger than 35... I've read about a woman who started it around 25yo. This would be *extremely* rare, but possible.

So, if you have a lot of stress, you're dieting/underweight or you exercise a lot I'd just blame it on that, otherwise go see a doctor.

It could be that you haven't ovulated. I've had an anovulatory cycle a couple times but never that long. The longer it goes on, the more uncomfortable you will feel (bloating, backache, etc). That's really a long time to go without having your period so you should see your doctor. They can give you something to bring on your period and get you back on track.

Im taking it that you usually very regular? Maybe your hormones are just acting up. It could also be PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). Its not as scary as it sounds. Without knowing if theres any other symptoms, I couldnt tell you for sure. But erratic periods and coarse facial hair are 2 of the most common symptoms of PCOS.

Best bet is to go see your doc. There are many reasons besides pregnancy that can cause a lack of a period, stress, hormones, just starting a new BC, are you under weight?
Good luck!

it could be a number of things, from stress, birth control (if your taking any), hormones out of wack... my suggestions call the gyno and make an appt to have some labs done, or maybe schedule a sonogram just to check it out. its always best to be safe than sorry.
