the doctor stripped my membranes today, i was wondering if anyone else has had this done and if it worked. She said i was 3cen dilated and that i was probably 4 by time she was done....how long before i can expect any contraction, or anything?

If the conditions are good, and your walking ALOT!! You could have that baby by tomorrow, I had mine swept with my last at 4pm and delivered the next day around 9am, the key to success is to get out and walk as much as you possibly can!

Yes- my Dr. did the same thing b/c I was 2 weeks over due and yes it worked!

I went into labor that night and had a little boy at 6:22 the next morning!

I had that done on a Wed (I was due the following Monday)... The pains started on Thursday afternoon, and worse through out the evening, and I had the baby Friday afternoon.

My mom had the same thing done with me, and with almost the same results..

It works!!! Pack your bags

My sister had this done...while it did not work the first time it did work the 2nd time she had it done. Her contractions started like an hour after they did it...so just be patient and your baby will come!!

I'd be willing to bet you will be in full labor and ready for delivery tomorrow evening around 7pm.

As mentioned, if you 4 cm it may be soon. Have your bags packed and be ready, it get exciting now. ;-)
