I am 8 weeks pregnant. For about the last week I have had discomfort in my lower back. Not cramps just achy. It is as low as my bottom. I did break my tail bone about a year ago. I am wondering if I should call my doctor to see if this is normal. Thanks.

Well, I called my doctor. He said is was normal and that I could go see a chiropractor. I havn't made an appointment yet. I think I possible did too much walking yesterday. My legs feel sore too. I think I may have pulled muscles. I like the massage idea.

When you are pregnant your joints and muscles do a lot of shifting. This could be causing your lower back ache, and your prior injury could be aggravating the condition.

It sounds totally normal so your best bet would be to find a way to try to relieve the aches like heat/cold, warm baths or massage. Be extra careful to keep your back aligned and to have good posture throughout your pregnancy, esp. as your tummy grows, and this will help prevent some back pain.

I think at 8 weeks this could be a little bit too early for you to be having back ache. Maybe you are working a little bit extra hard and lifting/ moving heavy things, otherwise, Most likely your its because of the tail bone you broke last year. Otherwise the best you can do is see a Doctor as soon as possible.

This is very normal and can get even worse throughout your pregnancy. My back pain just comes and goes. I bought about 4 pillows and just put them all around me; a few under my head, one under my knees and then one on whatever side I choose to lay on. It helps so much. Also, I recommend getting a prenatal massage or two, depending on what you can afford. They are a little pricey at $80-90 a pop, but well worth the money, in my opinion. I don't know what he did, but I slept better for weeks afterwards.

Your really too early to be having back pain.I would call your doctor it could be a sign of miscarriage.Or it could be because you broke your tail bone before.Call your doctor.
