im 24 weeks pregnant...for the first 14 weeks of my pregnancy i was nauseated *threw up only once*... now this morning....i made some breakfast *eggs,turkey bacon and croissants* i took my vitamin like i do everyday and maybe an hour after eating i started to feel real sick to my stomach and went to the bathroom and threw up,then layed down woke up to throw up again *this happened 4 times until i threw up everything* it was pretty forceful too. i am feeling ok now but i wanna know what caused this so suddenly? any ideas? i see doc monday but until then...

Im nearly 17wks pregnant and havent heard the heartbeat yet. My 12 wk scan was fine baby growing well and the other day i had my downs test, but still have not heard the hertbeat. I have my 20 wk scan in 2wks, will i hear it then or will i have to wait untill my 25 wk appointment with my midwife?

I am 20 yr. and have lived with my boyfriend for the last 2yrs. I obviously just graduated from high school a couple of yrs. ago and there have been a lot of people from my class who have become pregnant in these past couple of years. Every time my mom hears about one of these people becoming pregnant she goes on about how you should be at least 25 before you become pregnant, and she is just really closed minded to it. I was not planning on this baby and have only just found out that I am pregnant, I did not want kids right now but I am going to accept this one as if it were planned but I am concerned about how my parents will react I don't have the best relationship with them but I am trying to improve it.

P.S. Yes I was using birth control and most of the time condoms too. :)

Any advice on how to break the news will be greatly appericiated.

Since I've been pregnant, my 4-year-old niece and my best friends 10-month-old daughter have been absolutely IN LOVE with me. Like, if they're around me, all they want to do is sit in my lap or talk to me. They liked me alright before, but this is crazy...no, it's not my belly because I'm barely showing and it's been like this since about a week after I got a positive test. Meanwhile, my cousin's 1-year-old boy will hardly even LOOK at me!

My aunt noticed this and told me that means I'm having a girl...something about children under 5 being innocent and having "gender intuition". She said if little girls favor you more while pregnant, you're carrying a girl, and if little boys do, it's a boy.

I know it's just an old wives' tale, but I was wondering if any of you had heard of it or experienced something similar. Thanks!

If a woman is driving to an abortion clinic to terminate her pregnancy, and she is hit by another car and killed, how come the man who hit her gets charged with a double homicide, yet the mother about to kill her unborn child would be acceptable?

My last normal period was on January 25 2007. I took a test on the 4 of March 07 and the test was positive. Then I stated Bleeding on the 7 of march with some blood clots, So I thought I lost it. But the bleeding only lasted 3 days and was very light.
So I was excepting my period on the 7 of April when it didnt come I took another home pregnancy test, and It was positive, So I went to my Birth Control center for another test and theres was positive aswell, this all happeden on the 10 of april. on the 13 I went for a ulrtasound and see couldnt see pregnancy. Im very confused, im loosing my mind anyone out there can offer there ideas would be great thanks

Hi, I'm 29 weeks pregnant and already dilated, they said a fingertip (less than 1). I have to go in next week and make sure it's not more. It's really early to dilate at all. With my first child I wasn't at 1 until 2 weeks before I had her, and my water broke at 3. Anyone had or heard of a similar situation? Is it because it's my second? Maybe someone can help ease my nerves. Thanks!

I'm 29 weeks. With my baby the placenta is on the front. Sometimes I think that has to do with not feeling my baby move as much as the books say she should. (Though ultrasound the other day showed she was almost moving with every breath I took) The doctor said it is possible, and that I'd only feel her if she kicked the placenta. I just wondered if anybody had this problem with the placenta being in the front?

My friend is 26 wks pregnant and recently had to stay in hospital because she was losing amniotic fluid around the baby. They released her and said if she lost anymore she would have to go straight back as she would probably go into labor.
Im so worried for her and I was wandering if anyone else had been through this and what the outcome was?

I'm 24 and pregnant by a guy from my college class. I did find out he's back with his ex wife. I know he's saying he's going to support me through this pregnancy, but again I know it's all a lie so I won't take him to court. Which I will anywayz. Anyways I'm falling into a deep depression it seems like. Some days I just cry because I hate the fact that I can't change any thing. He lied to me about loving me for the past 3 years. He said he was sorry for being so stupid and not coming clean when he moved back in with his ex, but he had fallen into a financial issue and didn't want anyone knowing. Such a lie.... I don't know if I'm going to get through my days sometimes.... Does anyone else that's been pregnant or is pregnant gone through these feelings? I don't know what to do... I feel alone....

ok , i went to the doctors on friday the 13th and they were talking about someone that was supposely 28 weeks, here the person wasnt 28 weeks i guess cause when the doctor came back in the room she said ur 32 weeks but she still had my due date down as june 16th? now i dont understand how thats possible, because 8 times 4 is 32 which means im 8 months pregreant and since 9 times 4 is 36 it means i got 4 months left so i cant be due june 16th cause i dunno i thought there was 36 weeks .. since its 9 months in pregreancy ?

I am going on 21 weeks in my pregnancy and this past week I have had my right boob leak but only at night (I dont know if that means much but its the only time it happens) I just wanted to know if this is natural or should I see my doctor? My first child is almost 6 and I want another baby so bad I have vivid dreams about it (sometimes a boy and sometimes a girl), I am definately hearing the gong of my biological clock, I'm a few months from 30, but our finances are not where we would like them to be and I am afraid of gaining weight I can't lose ( i am thin and look great now, but I worry about that changing, I know it is vain, but it's honest) and it seems that the more I wnat a baby the more afraid I become and come up with more excuses... What were the things you wish you would have known about having your baby when you were pregnant? What did you wish someone would have told you? Tips on breast feeding (how bad does it really hurt on a scale of 1 (no pain)- 10 (worst pain)), labor, umbilical cord cleaning, circumsitions... I will take anything you throw at me! An easy 2 points! I am 15 weeks right now and trying to get some info.

its a commonnotion that whatever we read directly influences our unborn kid..i read good literature..but at times i am become my earlier self and get tempted to watch horror flicks, read erotic stuff online or evern watch really stupid movies and murder mysteries. Hubby hates me for that and asks me not to do so:-) anyone facing same situation?

I have a huge problem with needles... And I understand that being pregnant I am going to have to deal with a bunch of them... Have any of you been scared to get blood tests or pass out regularly? I am just scared that something bad is going to happen because of this fear.

I can't think of food, my stomach is upset the whole day, what I ate today was banana in the morning, and a cup of lemonade, that's what could stay in my stomach, I tryed some almonds, but I vomit it right away? this dizzinness and feeling sick whole day,I am trying to take a nap everyday, but I don't sleep. What do you hink I can try that could help.
