Pregnancy - April 2007

I know there are not real contractions but do they only "prep" the uterus as some say? do they serve a real purpose? Do they mean impending labor? I hvae 5 weeks left and have been getting a few everyday maybe 4 or so I dont want to go in early.

i took 4 pregnancy tests by the brand new choice, and they all came back positive. i think they are wrong cause im not having any symptoms, is that possible? i feel completly normal ad my period is only a few days late..

Hi Im due next month 1st baby so excited. My best friend recently had a termination. (I know half the answers will bash her and say who cares hopefully not all will). She regrets it and hates herself b/c she says it felt like she ran from the situation and she hates that she did it. The father didnt want the baby and he's actually happy now while she's miserable. I dont want to stifle my joy for her decision however, but this is such a touchy subject now. I told her its an absolute no change can be made now and she needs to work on herself, otherwise do I not talk about my happiness with her? If I do is that like rubbing it in her face? Curious what people think. I know if it was miscarriage I definately would be a bit more sensitive but does it matter since she regrets it anyway?

well im 17 nad pregnant.my parents know and so does my boyfriends mom.But there has been a lot going on.My b/f holds long conversations with my friends and they come up to me and tell me stuff that he has apparently said.i dont know weather to beleive them or not.I have been told that he was flirting with 2 of my best friends and wish he would have gotten with them bc then he wouldnt be i nthe situation that he is in.But if thats the case then why does he live with.(note:he does have another place to live if he wanted)But he still is at my house.So i dont know what to do about all this.Should i believe him or my friends.(when i ask him about the stuff i am told he says its not true and he would never say that bc he loves me and wants to be with me)

After the tightening phase, my stomach releases and goes back to normal for a few minutes it usually only stays hard and tight for a few seconds (ten or so). Also it is not painful most of the time.

ive done research cant seem to find much whats the best way to go about this? what do i need ect.

A friend of mine just finnished her periods a week ago but is bleeding now a bit. I read that a pregnant lady bleeds a bit after 10-12 days of conception with her its been 7 days and I was wondering if its normal to bleed a week after getting your periods or could she be pregnant? This has never happened to her before.

is there any body signs? i'm already had several negative urine test, but i still feel that i might be pregnant. should i wait until a miss period ? where can i get a blood test or ultra sound test in Sacramento, California? sometimes i feel dizzy after smelling chemicals (but i didn't eat before) so i'm not sure if that's the reason.

other symptoms: headaches, frequent urination, change of eating/sleeping habits, body temperature, tiredness.

okay. so basically.
today i noticed
that there was blood when i whiped after i urinated.
it was pinkish but i went again and it was a bright red.
ive had sexual intercourse.. but im not sure if its implantation bleeding... because it burns horribly when i urinate.. and its cloudy and smelly- all symptoms of a UTI. so can you reassure me that its just a UTI and not plantation bleeding? Please and thank you so much!

Is is safe to tan in a tanning bed while pregnant? I have problems with low blood sugar and cant lay out in the sun to tan because i get to hot and my blood sugar drops. So i have always tanned in a bed, But is it safe? If not how can i get a quick GOOD tan?

ok my friends last period was October 20th but then with her bf on Nov 14th she was having sex with him when their condom broke. She didn't think much of it since her period came 3 days later a little early then usual. Then Dec7th she did it with him just as a quickie unprotected and then later that day with no condom. again Finally December 13th she did another quickie with no protection. I really do want a baby; however, I'm kind of dreading being pregnant. Many of my friends hated being pregnant. I've never had a child, but we are thinking of getting pregnant. I'm really dread getting fat and not being able to drink. Some people will say I'm not ready for a child if I'm thinking this way. What's your opinion? I'm about 28 week pregnant. I went to my doctor's visit yesterdays, and she told me I gain 7 lbs. in 4 weeks. That's not good. She told me to cut my sugars, and cut down on my carbs. But I have no idea what a CARB is. Pretty pathetic, I know!!!!!
