A friend of mine just finnished her periods a week ago but is bleeding now a bit. I read that a pregnant lady bleeds a bit after 10-12 days of conception with her its been 7 days and I was wondering if its normal to bleed a week after getting your periods or could she be pregnant? This has never happened to her before.

Thank you!

Have your friend get either a urine or blood prenancy tes to be sure. I knew somebody who had bleeding 5days after menstruation and she was also having terrible abdominal pain on the right side- it was upper part of the groin area. the difference with appendicitis was- the pain was like something is ready to burst inside and she was positive with pregnancy. It turned out that she has an ectopic pregnancy and the baby was not in the uterus. make sure that she check with gyn.

That happened to me once or twice in my life but that 'extra' bleeding never lasted more than about 2 days. I was NOT pregnant either time. Since it's been going on for 7 days, it's not quite normal since that's never happened to her before. Sure, she could be pregnant but, of course, she may not be. None of us can give that answer. She's got to see a doctor but if that's an issue for her, she's at least got to get a few home pregnancy tests.

*when I had that 'extra' bleeding (spotting) it was a different color. It was basically brown. I figured it was 'left over' blood that didn't come out during my regular period. For whatever reason, it came out a little later. If someone is on the pill and doesn't take it properly, their period can get really wacky and strange things can happen. That may be the problem but a home pregnancy test is still something she should do.

It's not always that a women bleeds after conception but yes it can happen. I suggest instead of playing a guessing game and trying to figure out the possiblities and to just get a pregnancy test and find out for sure. Especially if she has had unprotected sex. Also if she is on some kind of hormonal birth control such as the shot or pills that can mess up your period as well. For instance I decided to stop taking my pills after I finished my last pack and I got my period at the end of the pack as usual but then a week later I got my period again but it was a different color. It seems like a lot of open ended questions. The best thing is to get a check up and ask the doc. They know best!

I would get her to see a doctor if this has never happened before, it could be something other than pregnancy. I personally never had anything like this, I just missed my period entirely and tested 7 days after I should have gotten them.

Some women bleed between periods, "spotting." If it has never happened to her before though, I recommend she get a home pregnancy test and try that out.

99% of the time you do not have a fulse positive, you can have a fulse negitive thought. but if you have had a peroid it is still posible to be pregnant. There are a few things that a doctor could rule out, like miscarrage, chemical pregnancy and stuff like that, but you should go to the doctor as soon as possible to see if you are pregnant....

If she takes the pill and hasnt been taking them like she usually does then that could be why, its happened to me before. but just to be safe she needs to take a test and ask her doctor because it could be something different
