Basic info
http://familydoctor.org/126.xml
Although the research i have read says the rate of pregnancy when trying to AVOID is much lower.
Couple to couple league

Creighton Model FertilityCare System (which my wife and I used to avoid pregnancy at first, then to conceive our daughter)
http://www.naprotechnology.com/
http://www.fertilitycare.org/
http://www.aafcp.org/
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Creighton_Model
I think the Creighton system is the best. Take a training class and get in touch with someone trained in it. We meet every few cycles/months with a doctor trained in it. Even our family doctor is trained in its use. It can be used both to avoid pregnancy and to achieve it. It helps you to see what is going on and even to sometimes see if there are problems.
if you have a weird situation (like my wife had some different problems going on) then there are people to help you figure out the problem.

I didn't just date one, I married one, well was married to one. It's pretty hard going when you get into a relationship as it is, but when you find out their beliefs are different from yours, and as a result of that, it could see you with a tribe of kids, it's enough to give you the s*ts. No it doesn't always work, and my son is proof of that, but very much loved none the less. In the end I don't think it's the most sensible way to go about staving off having kids at all, if for no other reason, than a woman's body doesn't always do as it's told in regards to ovulating.

There is no guarantee in natural family planning, dear. There is ALWAYS a possibility of pregnancy when you have sex. We have hormonal changes in our body as we age so it is hard to ensure that your cycle as you claculated remains the same. If your period is regular, I'm afraid you were pretty fertile around the time you mentioned and it could result in pregnancy. The worst time to have sex if you don't want to conceive is around 10-14 days from the day you had your period. Good luck.

I would recommend that you get a copy of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" by Dr. Toni Weschler. Your local library might carry it or you can order it from Amazon. It will tell you absolutely everything you need or want to know!

The best Abstinence....
Ok, joking aside. "natural" birth control" is generally really iffy. Have you considered and IUD?

Try keeping your knees together. Or be big about it, do the rest of us a favor and have your tubes tied.
