When the fetilized egg implants onto the uterine wall, there could be some spotting. If she is cramping and bleeding heavily, it could be that she has had a miscarriage and should see a doctor. Some women also have periods during pregnancy. The women that do have periods during a pregnancy can have one last one or have them all the way through, they can bleed lightly or moderately and everywhere in between. It is also possible that the pregnancy test was inaccurate.
I would advise seeing a doctor and having everything checked, just to make sure.

It's common the first few months of pregnancy. I did for the first three months. Now if she is having any kind of pain, then consult with the doctor.

implantation bleeding maybe? although it wouldnt cause hormones levels to raise that a test would be positive. Go to the doctor to make sure it isnt a miscarriage.

You need to go to the emergency room because if this is a miscarriage she needs to be seen. Have them check the RH factor in her labwork. Thats important.

I had bleeding with my first daughter. If you and she had sex, recently, this could be the reason (At least it was for me). There could be a number of reasons why this is happening. It is best to consult a physician.
