I loved being pregnant! It is an amazing feeling to know there is a new life growing inside you. You won't miss the alcohol if you really want to have a child, and if you eat a healthy diet and do moderate exercise, you won't be "fat", just pregnant. I felt very sexy with my baby belly, and had more sex drive when pregnant. The best part is at the end you have a beautiful baby to show for it all.

Katie, are you kidding me?
Some women will never get to carry a child.
Think of the beautiful side of watching your body change to accommodate and nurture your child...anticipate the first Ultrasound...the first time you feel the child move inside you.
Read "What To expect When You're Expecting", along with the verses in the Bible about how we are each one of us " wonderfully and fearfully made", "God knit us together in our mother's womb", "He knows all of our days before a single one of them comes to pass".
Pray for particular character traits for this little one as you carry.
Join a support group for new moms, a Lamaze class, etc.
Get you and your baby into a place where there is support and joy over this wonderful time in your life.
Remember that ALL true, unconditional love will involve all kinds of sacrifice sooner or later, physical , emotional, time, and effort.
Talk with someone like a counselor re. this- why is the alcohol important, and are you indeed ready to embrace this process, & what will get you there if not.
Last but not least, to quote a very accurate pre-schooler when discussing a pregnant teacher, "She's not fat, she's smooth". Big difference, and one to be enjoyed.
Take care now, and don't do anything rash:)You can also call 1-800- NEW-LIFE.

ok positives of being pregnant, well especially since this is your first, there are so many neat things you learn while pregnant. And after you have the baby you actually do miss being pregnant a little.
mostly its just a nice little journey before you get the prize at the end. Seriously it is sssoooo awesome to have a baby, you will love every minute of being a mommy. I dunno its all personal experience and being pregnant sometimes does take a lot out of you, but you will understand after you have the baby. i suggest just really getting into the pregnancy, reading up in books like "what to expect when your expecting" it helps you to realize whats going on each week with your babys development.
Good luck and enjoy the experiences and memories you will be creating!

I know exactly how you feel. When I first found out I was pregnant I was so mad because I felt like I couldn't do anything anymore. I had to quit smoking, drinking, staying out late, and I had to sell my season pass to the snowboarding mountain!
After awhile when you start getting bigger, it isn't so bad anymore. Your love for the child outweighs the bitter feelings. I am only 18 weeks now and I am already used to it. I don't mind looking bigger at all now. It is fun to see the way the baby changes your body because you know in the end that it will all be worth it. I think that you are ready. Good luck to you! You really won't hate it as much as you think- trust me!

At the end you get this really cool cute little person that you will love and will love you always. I'm at 26 weeks now and trust me, really you won't miss the drinking. I'm looking foward to a nice vodka-cranberry after I have the baby, I won't lie about that. And, you can lose the weight you put on. Babies are precious little gifts. You'll know when it's the right time, you'll feel ready. My baby was well planned. Good luck.

If you're dreading the whole "fat" and "can't drink" aspect then right now you're too damn selfish to get pregnant.
Please, grow up a little more before bringing a child into this world.
