its a commonnotion that whatever we read directly influences our unborn kid..i read good literature..but at times i am become my earlier self and get tempted to watch horror flicks, read erotic stuff online or evern watch really stupid movies and murder mysteries. Hubby hates me for that and asks me not to do so:-) anyone facing same situation?

sorry, but i got to say that im not a believer in the thought that reading something is going to effect your unborn child. while an unborn child is able to recognize a voice, they have no way of understanding or comprehending the words that are around him/her. music is something that i belive is influential, but i wouldnt say movies or books. i love reading romantic books and my favorite movie genre is horror. good luck

Get it in now before the baby arrives!! This could be the last chance you have to spend an evening curled up on the couch watching a scary movie with your husband!

If babies are truly influenced by things they hear in the womb...my son is doomed! I worked on an ambulance during my pregnancy and some of the things that came out of my patients' mouths would turn the air blue!! lol

Tell hubby that what you watch and or read will have no effect at all on baby and to loosen up. It is the 21st century and we should all know better by now!
