Since I've been pregnant, my 4-year-old niece and my best friends 10-month-old daughter have been absolutely IN LOVE with me. Like, if they're around me, all they want to do is sit in my lap or talk to me. They liked me alright before, but this is crazy...no, it's not my belly because I'm barely showing and it's been like this since about a week after I got a positive test. Meanwhile, my cousin's 1-year-old boy will hardly even LOOK at me!
My aunt noticed this and told me that means I'm having a girl...something about children under 5 being innocent and having "gender intuition". She said if little girls favor you more while pregnant, you're carrying a girl, and if little boys do, it's a boy.
I know it's just an old wives' tale, but I was wondering if any of you had heard of it or experienced something similar. Thanks!

I never noticed it as I was pregnant, but you never know. Children use parts of the brain we've long forgotten about. I'd be interested to know what you end up having

I have heard it, but it was the other way around. Means you are having a boy. The boy is jealouse. Though I don't know if there is any truth to it. According to wives tales, I will be having a little girl with hair.

I've heard of it. But since the girls love you, it should be a boy. I always heard it was the opposite. I think there is truth to it. When I was pregnant with my daughter my 2 year son wouldn't have anything to do with me hardly. And my nephews. Or maybe they knew my daughter was going to be extra stubborn and they wanted to stay away. No kidding it happened in every pregnancy for me. But the opposite sex of your baby will be attracted to you.

I have never heard that. I will tell you people will try to tell you what you are having and have no clue. When I was pregnant with my second one everyone tried to tell me I was having a girl. My first was a boy. So many people told me that I started to believe it. When I went for my ultrasound, the lady told me I was having a BOY!!! I almost cried, as stupid as that is. I vowed to never believe anyone again. The third was a girl.

Everyone told me that when I was pregnant but it was little boys that loved me. All the wives tales said it was a boy and they were all wrong. I had my second girl. Wish they had been right but I love her. It really doesn't matter once they are born. Good luck and congrats.

i have never heard of an old wives tale about that.
But when i was pregnant with my second child, My daughter whom was 4 yrs old, she told me that i was having a baby sister for her, and of course she clucked over my stomach kissing it and hugging it, feeling it kick etc etc, it turned out to be a girl afterall.now i am pregnant again with my 3rd child and, both of my daughters havent had any interaction with it whatsoever, of course my youngest baby doesnt no whats goin on cause shes only 16 months old, but my older daughter whom is 5 tells me its goin to be a boy. YES!!! The same thing has happened to me! I am 13 weeks pg, and my friend's 2 and a half year old daughter loves me to bits at the moment! She keeps nagging her mom to invite me round to visit. And when I am there she tells me I must come play in her room... then she chases her mom out! But their little boy cries when I try pick him up or come near him! Weird! This happened before I told them I was pregnant, and when I told them, my friend said "no wonder my daughter is nuts about you lately!"

I have never heard of this tale before, but enjoy all the love and attention you can get. It's nice when children love you and show you affection. You are only getting ready for your own when she or he comes. I think that is precious!

Well to answer yoour question, Im pregnant with a girl. At my friends BBQ, One of my co-workers asked me to hold her little girl while she went to the bathroom. She is around 5months, and a happy baby. When she handed her to me she sat with me for a few mintues then started crying when my baby kicked my stomach, so my other friend took her from me. She stopped crying!!!

I have never heard of that b4... but i know when i was pregnant with my second child my cat (at the time 4 yrs old) Judy would snuggle on my back at night and she never did that before...
