Well what did the doctor tell you? A pregnancy can be seen very early by an ultrasound.

I don't think it's that far fetched. And why would anyone lie about being pregnant with twins? These babies are very tiny at this point and maybe the ultrasound tech wasn't trained or wanted to give mom a separate picture of both babies. And a lot of people get ultrasound for different reason early in their pregnancy. Maybe she was scared of losing the baby and they did an ultrasound, maybe the heard two heartbeats and did an ultrasound. You're a grandma of twins. Enjoy it.

I know you can make yourself think you are pregnant and have the symptoms and even have a "false" positive test. Also the clotting you had may have been a miscarriage and the tissue from the pregnancy may not have expelled completely. You may want to go to an OB because you may be in need of a D&C to clear the tissue that is remaining and giving you a positive preg test. If you do not have the tissue removed it can cause infection...

Maybe you did lose the first pregnancy and now you're pregnant again w/ a new baby... if that's the case maybe the embryo is too small to find on an ultrasound (or too hard to find...???) Follow up to get another ultrasound a little later and see if there is anything to be found. In the meantime talk w/ an OB about what's going on and see if he/she has something better to tell you. Good luck! You're not crazy... I think! I'm just going out on a limb here, lol j/k

If you have a tipped uterus it is common not to see anything on an ultrasound until 10 weeks or later.
