Pregnancy - March 2007

My period is a week late, tooka pregnancy test and it said positive, my breasts are really sore, I can't sleep, my apetite has decreased, I'm tired all the time, and I have a urinary tract infection. Could I really be pregnant....because I'm only twenty and I don't know if I'm ready for this.

I've been really feeling it in my lower back also. I get them like 2 times a day. What is it? I know it isn't braxton hicks, because they are this strong. Please help.

My doctor says to start applying it now but I don't really fancy it to be honest!!! Does anyone have any better suggestions that aren't so greasy?

I've heard from people that after 12 weeks the hCG hormone, which is what the tests look for, begins to drop drastically. Thats why blood tests and hpts are recommended for people who could not be more that 12-15 weeks preg. After that, a pelvic exam or ultrasound is needed. That would explain women who are obviously pregnant getting negative tests! Has anyone else heard this? Is it true?

My wife is pregnant, (this is our first) and she wishes to have a natural birth. We have heard from a few people that drinking raspberry tea in the months leading up to the birth can somehow ease the pain. Is this true?

I was just wondering what good website where I could see how a pregancy is gonig and how big the baby is. Its like those week by week charts or day by day charts, stuff like that. I am doing a paper on what the baby looks like in the womb and what the mother looks like inside and out while pregant. Thank you for all your help.

I'm going to have an ultrosound done in 11 days to find out what the sex of my baby is going to be. I am worried they wont be able to tell and i wont find out. Is there anything i can do to move the baby around if this might happen inorder to get a good shot? i want to know so bad i am scared i wont get to. p.s i am huge already. i've got a baby belly for sure and everyone tells me i don't look only 17 weeks pregnant. is that normal?

Has anyone taken 1 or 2 oz of castor oil to start labor. I know of friends doctors and midwifes that actually suggested this. Does it work or did it for you and how long.

I am 33 weeks. I have been having a little more discharge than normal, but cannot tell if it is leaking or just regular discharge. I have read everything on how to tell...and it is still difficult.

I know that only a small percentage have the "my water broke, and it spills out!", so how do you tell if it is trickling, or if you are just having regular discharge. I know if it is watery...but when I wipe (I know gross...sorry for details)...I cannot tell!!!

How do you really know?? I dont want to call my doctor everytime I think something is going on!!!!

I was due on at the end of Jan-no signs of any bleeding yet, my periods have always been like clock work.(4 11 yrs) In the summer i started 2 take my pill bk 2 bk, 4 2months, then a break. I was on antibiotics 4 a sore throat around this time(end of jan). i have had 3 neg preg tests, sore breasts & v emotional. although i have been under alot of stress lately! i went 2 my doc yesterday he told me there was noway i could be pregnant & that this happens(periods missing)!! i am so confused he told me 2 not take my pill 4 3 months then go bk?! no i'm even more stressed, thinking menopause or something! i would be grateful 4 your opinions...thanx xx

Ok im 13wks 4d. two nights ago i started feeling uncomfortable. Like now i cain't sleep because my stomach is getting big and stretching and starting to feel weird. Anyone have that? I felt the baby move two nights ago too. Like i know what gas and all that feels like lol. And it was low were my baby is, from what i seen on ultrasound and was a active lil one lol. It felt so weird like a it was twisting and flipped or something i was pressed against my hubby cuz he is warm and it only happend for a min but it was so weird and awesome feeling is that possible? i stayed awake for like an hour trying to feel it again but haven since. I cain't wait till it starts constantly. I want to know if this is possible. Im very small person and i show faster even though this is my first pregnancy. Thanks

I am so scared to think that I have to push a baby out of my body, not only of that but everything else that happens. Is my baby going to be healthy and okay, am I going to be okay? Can I handle it? pregnant. I started bleeding alittle 2 days ago with mild cramps. I got an Ultrasound and i am carrying twins. However no fetal heartbeats could be detected. The doctor seemed to think that I could have got my dates mixed up and that the size of both fetus suggested that they were about 6 weeks. I was told that if this is the case this could be why no heartbeats were detected. I was sent home and told to come back in a weeks time for another ultrasound. I have not had any bleeding since maybe v.mild cramps or maybe its just nerves, but I can't get my head around how there is so big a discreptancy around the size of the fetuses and the date of my last period. My first positive test was around the 8th of jan, I tested before this and was negative so this could leave me out by two weeks but there is still a difference. Anyone else experience anything similar?????
