My period is a week late, tooka pregnancy test and it said positive, my breasts are really sore, I can't sleep, my apetite has decreased, I'm tired all the time, and I have a urinary tract infection. Could I really be pregnant....because I'm only twenty and I don't know if I'm ready for this.

It sounds very possible, those are all of the same symptoms that I had when I found out. If you want to be absolutley sure get a blood test from you gynecologist, but the over the counter test are usually accurate. Does you back hurt?

Well if the test said positive, you are more than likey, pregnant. The next step is going to the doctor to get the pregnancy confirmed. Once that is out of the way, you need to really think and decide what you are going to do. It might help to talk to someone close to you, because it really might be a hard decision. You are young and you have a lot to think about, so take you time and don't make any rash decisions. Good luck in whatever you decide and God bless!

Well the only other obvious question was the sex unprotected? If so then yes. Oh if you are not ready for this you should have used some kind of protection and thought about the effects of unprotected sex before even having sex! Well in nine months you will be feeling different and become or have to become ready. I am almost nineteen and at 17 i wasn't ready for a kid either but i took responsibality for what mistakes i had made and am happy to be a mom my age doesnt matter. good luck and if for some odd reason you ARENT wrap it up next time. However i am 99.4% sure you are.

Yes you could very well be pregnant, and you most likely are according to the pregnancy test and symptoms. If "you're not ready for this" then you should have thought about that before you decided to have unprotected sex. Even with protection, you're always taking a chance, because nothing is 100% affective except abstinence.

If it said positive then yes you are pregnant.
If you were not ready at 20 years old, you should know full well what birth control is.
Now you just have to accept it and be a woman about the situation

Yes you probably will be pregnant. I was 17 and nowhere near ready for it but the way I looked at it was its happened so its obviously meant to be. There is never a right time to have a baby I dont think so please dont worry and dont doubt yourself either, you will be a fantastic mum (if thats what you decide to do that is)!

If you took a pregnancy test and it said positive then you are pregnant. I'm sure you'll do just fine. Good luck.

If your pregnancy test says positive, i would think you were pregnant. go to the doc, they can confirm. If you are not ready to have a baby, maybe you should have been more careful.

Go see a doctor now, cause if you got a positive test then almost 100 percent positive you are.

You should probably schedule an appt. with your doctor. Also, if the test came back positive, Congratulations you are pregnant.
