You can still have bleeding but it's not considered a period. In the beginning, you can have spotting and light bleeding due to implantation. Later on, bleeding could be due to a subchorionic hematoma (blood clot) which makes you bleed very much like a normal period. There can also be bleeding caused by a tear in the placenta. Any contact with your cervix (i.e. having sex, internal exams) can cause the cervix to become irritated and that can cause bleeding. And then sometimes there can be bleeding that can't be explained at all. But it's not likely that you would bleed due to a period - your body wouldn't be shedding any lining of the uterus if you were pregnant.
If pregnant and bleeding, I would recommend consulting a doctor to determine the cause right away because it could also be a "threatened" miscarriage. But I would not dismiss it as a normal period in pregnancy because this is not physically possible unless you have a uterine anomaly that would cause you to have two.

It is so very rare, because of the cycle. The period is actually a time in which your uterus is basically peeling off the top layers of skin inside and shedding the buildup from the last three weeks. The buildup is to nurture and support any life, and without that there, it's difficult to get pregnant.
DIfficult but not impossible. There are cases of women who have gotten pregnant during their periods, usually those with irregular periods. Also, women might have implantation bleeding or a mild bleedoff at their usual period time, and assume it was a period when in fact they are pregnant.

you can get a light, few day period up to 2 months into a pregnancy. It will be very light brownish blood, and only for a few days, this is commonly called Implantation bleeding. Some women can have light bleeding all through out the pregnancy and have healthy kids, sometimes the bleeding will follow the menstrual cycle sometimes not.
Heavy bleeding, red blood, clots, and long lasting is usually a period and if you have this after you have a confirmed pregnancy is not a good sign that the pregnancy is going well. This is a big concern and you need to address it with your doctor.

Well, no, not really. Not the kind of period that you are speaking about. Once your body starts producing HCG and your pregnancy is established, your menstrual cycle is stopped. You may have bleeding or spotting up to your third month. Some women have implantation bleeding around the time they are expecting their period, which you might think is a real period. And in the rare case that would happen, then you would bleed, but your egg would not come out- it's in use!

Yes. When I was pregnant with my son, I had a regular period during my first month of pregnancy. My doctor mentioned that it happens to a certain percentage of women.
