I am confused!
Can I get it if I recieve child tax credits?

If you recieve tax credits at the higher level then yes, or recieve Job-seekers allowance etc.

I think you can claim this from 29 weeks pregnant and up to the child being 3 months.

Maximum amount is £500.00

I get tax credits and have been told by my midwife to apply for the maternity grant. I don't know if I'll be eligible but the money would come in handy as maternity pay isn't that great! I think they base eligiblility on your household income.

Yes you can get it if you get t/credits. Think you HAVE to have tax credits to get sure start grant. You have to be in receipt of a certain amount but not sure how much.

yes, i was on child tax credits when i recieved mine. its a one off payment of £500 which came in very handy

i think you would only get it if you where getting working families tax credits not just the child tax credit. Apply anyway as they can only say no.

if you get the higher family element or the baby element then you can get it just ring tax credits on 0845 300 3900 and ask them if you qualify and they will tell you

yes as long as u get some bennifits, i got refused but i would get it now x
