nothing wrong with having another baby shower. The way I look at it, how do you explain to your children that they were not special enough to have a baby shower held for them cause they were not the first child. Every child is different, every child is special, so why not have a baby shower for each, pictures say a lot, and it looks bad when one child has pictures for the baby shower, all the friends and family excited about their arrival and the other children have none.

Most people say that a shower should only be for the first born, but times are changing, so if you'd like one for your 3rd, I don't see why you couldn't have one. Others might say it's tacky, just as others disagree with a person throwing their own shower. If you feel that it will be an enjoyable experience for yourself and the people attending, then by all means, have fun with it!
sidenote: You might consider opening a savings account and depositing a certain amount of money monthly in case plans for your shower don't go through as planned.

Etiquette says that a woman only gets one baby shower.
HOWEVER...that etiquette was written long before we started having babies further apart. Today, it is perfectly acceptable to have another baby shower if your kids are spaced far apart (like 6 years). Realistically you don't have anything for your forthcoming bundle of joy which is the whole point of a baby shower!
Congratulations!

There is no rule anymore. Some people stick with the old rules and only have one, and some have one for every baby. The choice is yours.
I only had one but my kids are just under 2 years apart. My sister in law had 3 kids and 3 showers. Her kids are spaced just under 5 years apart.

I think that most people will give a baby shower in that instance. I know we gave one for my friend, her only child was 9 and out of the blue my friend finds out she is pregnant. She didn't have anything for a baby.

The only rule of etiquette I know of for showers is that you cannot throw your own. It's tacky and looks like you just want free stuff. I would suggest having someone else throw you one.

They say only for the first unless there is a big gap in ages. So I'd say you are entitled to a baby shower. Good luck.

I think (especially if you have to start all over like that) that it should be fine. I wouldn't think anything of it. Enjoy your shower!
