I've heard drinking coffee while pregnant is bad for the baby, but what if you drink alot of coffee then find out your pregnant? What could you replace coffee with, what hot drink? Something that would be healthy for the baby, and you.

I started my 36 week of pregnancy yesterday and and had regular contractions that became more intense and were 4 minutes apart. At hospital and they gave me 2 bags of fluids and eventuallly a shot of terbutaline. My cervix was closed...very closed the nurse said. She said I was therefore not in labor/ My contractions slowed down and I could barely feel them, I was then sent home. all day and evening I have had sporadic contractions, some I can feel strongly others are very weak..but none like last night. I feel I did not get a good explanation as to why this happened and what happens next. They sent me home on no meds becase they said I was almost full term, but they said they would like the baby to stay in for a little while longer. My due date is april 14th......
Can anyone make me understand what is happening a little better? Dies this mean the baby will be here soon? could I go till my due date or even past? Will I have these contractions up until the baby is born? (Baby #2)

Ok, I am 7 weeks pregnant and I am tired all the time. The problem is once im asleep im up. I wake up about every half hour all the time. Is thier anything I can do to sleep through the night. (I cant take tylenol pm, because I had an addiction to them a few years ago) Please any ideas I will apprecriate. I just cant take this anymore!

for about a week now i have been getting these spasms in my lower stomach they dont hurt or anything they are just annoying it feels like something is inside me moving..i thought i might of been pregnant cause i am 2 weeks late for my period but that is not unusual..does anyone know what it could be..i did a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative!

I have had almost all of the pregnancy symptoms now, at first i had a few but yesterday my nipples started becoming a different colour and getting itchy and today they are sort of sore im so tired and ive been going pee alot im moody headacyes cramps back pain.. but yesterday i started to bleed and my period isnt due till thursday and my friend said she thinks im pregnant cause she went through alot of this and she just had her baby and she had her period or bleeding every month like a period and i am always regular, also i stopped the pill about 4-5 days ago becuase it said if i suspect pregnancy to stop right away so i dont no if this is from the pill or my period or spotting its brownish and lighter than usual. im so confused and i kind of want to be pregnant so i dont no but could i still be preg?

I'm due about the 22nd of this month but I've noticed that I used to get the Braxton Hicks in my 7-8th month but they seemed to have disappeared a couple of weeks ago.
Is this normal? I thought that they were supposed to get stronger as I go along. I don't feel anything but the normal pelvic pressure when he dropped. No menstral-like cramps or anything.

I'm at 6 weeks (4 weeks actually pregnant) and I've felt a little bit nauseous twice, and I was wondering when your nausea set in so I can try to be ready for it. Please tell me if you're referring to weeks you're actually pregnant or the 40 week calendar where they include the 2 weeks when you're not pregnant yet. That whole thing kinda confuses me! Thanks!

Also, when people say how many weeks they are, are they usually including the two extra weeks like the doc does?

my husband & i have unprotected sex 2 weeks ago and my periods are now 9 days over due. i have a discharge. i have attempted at least 8 hp tests and all are neg , i also had a blood test yesterday and came back borderline. has anyone experienced the same thing and if so what was the outcome and what r the chances im pregnant?

I took 3 at home pregnancy tests and all of them were positive. Today I went to the health department and they confirmed that I am 5 - 6 weeks pregnant.

I'm soooo nervous to tell the baby's father because we've been casually dating for a little over a year now, nothing too serious though. And it doesn't help that at the moment, we are not dating. How should I tell him that I am pregnant? I need some genuine advice PLEASE! I'm freaking out!

ok here is my story. stopped taking pill 8th Jan 07, then got a proper one week period. started on 12th jan 07 finished on 19th Jan 07. then 34 days later i started spotting round bout 15th Feb, thought i might of been preg but tests (doctors) came back neg. then 12 march (25 days since spotting) got faint period like cramps, if its them they are early. i had unprotected sex on 8th mar, 10th, and 11th. not sure when my period is due as they have gone wacko since stopping pill. woke up this morning 13th mar had a huge amount of clear mucus and it had a faint brown tinge almost clear. and have faint cramps today sometimes its to one side for a couple of minutes but mostly in the middle like a period cramp. today is still the 13th mar and i have gone to the toilet several times today and there is now nothing there, no mucus, no blood nothing, but still the faint cramps. is this my periods starting early or possible preg?? any advice greatly appreciated.

Is it true that if your baby sleeps in your bed while still a newborn, it could greatly risk the chance of SIDS? I'm 24 weeks pregnant with my first child and I want to be prepared. Also, are there other things that can reduce the chance of SIDS?

I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder when I was 16-17 years old. I have been fine my whole pregnancy, but now that I know that I will be having the baby soon, I am worried about postpartum depression. I have horrible anxiety attacks and feel like I am running out of time until the baby comes. Instead of being excited like I was, I am kind of depressed about how my life is going to change. I know it sounds bad, but I cannot control it. I know deep down that I am excited, but I just cant seem to get over these bad feelings. I dont feel like I would ever hurt my child, just worried that I am not going to be close to him like I want to be. Anyone else been through this and have any advice for me? Serious answers only. I really dont want to hear anyones rude opinions, I feel bad the way it is. Thanks for the help!

Help, I am concerned. I have not had a period since Dec. 31. I have taken 3 different brands of pregnancy tests all came out clearly negative, no faded line or anything so I don't think I am pregnant. I have 2 children already and when I took tests with them, they came out positive right away. I have no other signs other than my missed period. But I have been sick, it seems like a stomach thing cause it only lasts 1 day. But I was sick during my last period, Dec. 31, I was sick March 1 (which is why I thought my period might have been delayed) and I was sick March 10. Still have not gotten any sign of my period. I called the doctor to set up an appointment but I have to call back this afternoon. Has anyone had this happen? What could this be. I am only 34 so I don't think it is menopause but you never know these days. Help, does anyone have any ideas what this could be. Thank you.

i'm not completely sure, as i haven't taken a test or anything, and i haven't yet gotten to the point where i'd know if i'll miss my period, but this thought has been nagging at me for about three weeks...and i'm not sure if my body's changing or if i'm just overly aware of everything because of fear.
and honestly, i'm terrified. so...if you have any adivce as to what i can possibly do? i mean, if i do miss my period and i'm fairly sure i'm pregnant? my parents wouldn't have the least bit or understanding, and i could really just use some advice...for anything.

I am six weeks and five days preg. Today I have ultrasound. Doctor only sees york sac but don't see the baby. He sends me to come back in one week to take another one. He said it may be "50/50". I am so worried. Anybody has the same experience?

im only 12 weeks so im just over 3 months. i heard that pelvic excercises 10 mins a day can help and you end up with a quicker labor. i just want to know so i can start now while my cervix is still soft. i do pelvic rolls and rocking side to side and back and forth, is there anything else i can do that is safe?
