She keeps thumping in my womb. It feels like her whole body is moving like in these little lurches. Has anybody else felt this before? If so do you know what it is?

I remember stressing out because I thought my baby was having seizures in my stomach. My doctor said that it could be hiccups that I can't feel very well, or she could be trying to get her thumb in her mouth, or she is just trying to change positions, etc. It is 99% likely to be nothing worth worring about. Movement is good, period.

I should mention my 4 month old has sucked her thumb since very early on, so I think that is probably what mine was doing. Man did it freak me out though.

best of luck.

A baby moving around is a good sign. Like the other person said it could be hiccups. Also a baby inside can be startled by a loud noise. Your baby can hear you talk and your voice can comfort her. A lot of women read stories and tell stories to their babys before birth and it has been shown that the child is above average in intelligence because of that.

I feel thumping sometimes, My Dr said it was very normal and it could easily be the hiccups.. A baby that moves a lot is healthy!!

It's the baby moving...rolling, kicking, punching, etc. I feel it so much I'm about go insane!!! Today I had an elbow or knee sticking out all day. I'd try to push it back in and it would pop out some place else!!! Crazy kid!!

Don't worry....it's just your baby moving! Good luck!

u will feel many odd and crazy movements from ur baby while pregnant, if the baby doesn't move that's when u should be concerned. other than that, if u feel strongly concerned or worried go to ur obgyn and ask for a ultrasound of the baby to just check. good luck.

She probably has the hiccups. Happened to new baby all the time in the womb.

Totally normal ... as the baby grows, you'll feel her stretch out and kick REALLY hard!
You'll watch her run her head or an elbow, knee, foot or hand from the top of your belly to the belly button ...
movement is good ... my son used to 'dance' when I went to his dad's gigs ... the kid plays guitar now
