I am moving to Alameda County from Santa Clara County in Northern California. I want to know if I can have a referral to a good ob/gyn at Hayward kaiser .
This is for my wife.

This is why i LOVE Kaiser! I was born and raised on it and have become totally spoiled by it. Why? Because you already know who is in network and who you can go to. Look on the back of your card with your medical record number on it. You can call the appointment line and check for OB's in the area where you are going to be delivering/living. Or you can just give them a call directly:

3553 Whipple Rd
Union City, CA 94587
(510) 784-4703

Here is a listing of all of the OB/GYN's in those offices:
Anker, Marc D.
Arthur, Catherine R.
Bachicha, Joseph A.
Brompton, Cathryn
Cheung, Winnie W.
Choi-Hevel, Sung
DeGusta, Linda Catherine Pollack
Edwards, Darrell L.
Emler, Katrin E.

Hosang, Robert A.

If you go here, http://www.permanente.net/homepage/kaiser/pages/d226-clinicians.html you can click on their names and check their 'stats'

and of course you can always get referances from them from past patients too. When you go into your appointment, its like a interview. I loved it because if id idnt like one doctor... i had a new one by my next appointment! :)

Happy pregnancy!

Best thing I can suggest here is to get a referral from her current OB/GYN. Oftentimes, the docs all know each other. If she, or you, asks the current who they'd trust in the new Kaiser, they usually know someone.

Personally, I recommend Victoria Mancuso. She's an MD and friggin AWESOME! I know she's in Martinez, but not sure if she travels to Alameda. Good luck though. Good OB/GYN's are hard to find!
