My Dr told me to drink it with my first pregnacny. I dont know about "ripening" but she said it helped to prepare the cervix and uterus.
I really dont know if it helped me or not.
Please check with the Dr before drinking the tea, as my Dr had me on a certain amount of cups per day depending on how far along I was.

I have used it. You can get it at the store called Vitamin World or you can order over the web. They come in the tea and pills. I have the pills. They did not do nothing for me. But you have to keep in mind that everybody's body responds to things differently than others. If you are deciding on using red raspberry leaf tea or the pills remember to get the real stuff. on the nutrition label it will say "red raspberry leaves" you should go to a nutrition place for the best stuff. You need to also read up on how this effects you and your baby. If it does work it could lead to real strong contractions. And if I remember right if they are too strong they could effect the baby and put stress on your baby. This could lead to a C-Section. I would definately find out more about this herb and be cautious.

Yes, I love a red raspberry leaf tea called "mother to be tea" by Yogi--it's great. I drank it a lot towards the end and my cervix was ripe 2 weeks before my due date! Anything that helps!
