Try praying. Prayer is very powerful. Read "Power of a praying woman" by stormie omartian. Very good book and has brought me alot of peace, love & joy. You will see many positive changes in every area of your life when you pray. I have seen tremendous changes in my life, marriage, children etc...

Psalm127:3
3 Children are a gift from the Lord;
they are a reward from him.

Discuss this with your doctor.

This may pass with time. Some pregnant women just don't rest well at night.

And even if you did not have an addiction to Tylenol PM you still should not take anything like that when you are pregnant.

I would only suggest a nice relaxing bath in the evening before you go to bed. Put lavender in the water to help you relax. The same lavender baby wash you will use to calm your baby will do, and you may find it very relaxing.

I hope you find the answers to your sleeping dilemma.

I am 20 weeks and have had difficulty sleeping since about 8 weeks. I have found a warm shower helps alot. Also if you have someone close you might have them massage your back a little. Try sleeping with alot of pillows around you. I had this problem too. I just made sure I slept when my body would allow. This should ebb in your second trimester. Then I woke up because I always have to go to the bathroom and I can never get comfortable.Pregnancy makes you very tired especially in the first trimester. Also, talk to your doctor and see if there are any other things that could help you.

I used to have the same problem, with sleeping, I'd wake up so many times throughout the night and be exhausted the next day.. I found the sleeping when your tired will help in the early stages of pregnancy, an Nana-nap on the couch was a big one with me..During the night, try to have a warm bath with lavender oil in it, Johnson's has a baby bath product with lavender in it, try some of that, and just before you go to bed have some warm milk, I read myself to sleep most of the time, and that worked for me.. It may just work for you.. also avoid anything with caffeine in it at night as this will just stimulate your mind and keep you going.. Its not a good idea to take any sort of sedative while you are pregnant.. Go and see your doctor and express your concerns or you can ring a midwife/nurse at the hospital, they might have alternative suggestions...
Good Luck and I hope you manage to get some sleep..:)

Being tired during pregnancy is very normal. You could talk to the doctor about the possibility of iron deficiency. I don't suggest taking any medication to make you fall asleep (unless directed by your doctor); however, you could try chamomile tea prior to bed. If that doesn't help you could try dabbing lavender essential oil behind your ears or on your pillow (sounds strange I know, but worth a shot). Both herbs are known to have sleep aiding effects. Both are also gentle and won't harm the baby.

When I was pregnant I didn't take any kind of medicine but my prenatal. I had problems sleeping and was tired all the time too. The only thing that helped me through it was relaxing. Lay on the bath tub (just dont do it too long) and listen to music. Get some aromatheraphy candles!

well, I can obviously tell you the reason why your tired... is because you don't sleep. try staying awake for a long period of time, try like all day then go to bed at like 9 pm at night and stay in bed until at least 5 am. Don't get out of bed for any reason, just lay there. Also, try talking to a doctor, could be just stress keeping you awake, stress has alot of wierd symptoms.

rest and to help be able to sleep try drinking some chamomile tea before you go to bed. i have problems sleeping and it helps me to relax and sleep when i need to. you can buy a box of the tea bags at grocery stores like walmart. also relax, think of positive things and take it easy. remember your body is working hard to take care of the baby. also avoid caffeine. and avoid spicy foods before bedtime.
