Pregnancy - February 2007

I'm getting induced next Sunday at 40.4 weeks. I am very excited about this but I don't know what I'm going to do with myself for this upcoming week. For those who have had experience then can you tell me what you did? I have to go to school until next Friday which also makes it go by very slow. Should I walk? Take baths? What to do to pass the time?! Is this going to be my longest week? How did it feel to you?

About two years ago, my cousin's girlfriend, had a baby still born and they named her Madison Jo. My husband and I are expecting our first baby in march, and we planned on naming her Maddyson Rain. Noone in my family had a problem with this, until recently the sister of my cousin, told me that I was being sick and wrong to even consider naming my baby Maddyson after her brother was going to name his baby that. Now, we rarely see this cousin, and had never even met the woman who carried his baby. Are my husband and I being rude by naming our baby the same name?

so we think we might be pregnat , my wife has experianced a werid taste in her mouth such as silver, and many other symptooms, such as nausia, back ache, headache, easly emotional, easly irrated, worried, misses me easly at times, do you think this is a coinsidence or is she pregnant, if so how long does this sound? thank you

First and foremost: I have three children, and have gone through 4 pregnancies. I know what it is like to have children, lose children, and work during it.

So, my question: She is not doing her job. She has forgotten some critical things . . .(I work for a surgeon), and every time I bring it up, or remind her what to do, she throws me this attitude like "you just don't understand what it's like to be pregnant" at which I cringe. She says the word CRAP to our patients. I would love to let her go, but I feel bad because she is due in May and no one will hire her. She cries a lot - at work . . .and I'm losing my patience. Any suggestions?

hey I went to my 30 week checkup today and the doctor said my babys heartbeat is at 145, what do you think the sex of the baby is?? I'm getting a ultrasound next thursday and will pick best answer then.

My friend had her last period around mid october. It is february now so she should be around 4 months period right? She took pregnancy tests in the beginning of december and both were negative. She never actually had intercourse but due to not having a period in a long time, we've been checking pregnancy symptoms just in case. She also has no morning sickness, cravings, severe back pains. She has been gaining weight but she also is under a great deal of pressure and eats late at night. My question is, do you think shes pregnant and if so, should she be experiencing symptoms by now?

I mean i have the people saying well if it was rape then its a different story! Then i have people saying well if it was rape she could put it up for adoption! I just dont understand! As of FEB 8/07 my wife is 37 weeks along (says the doc)? she was with another man for a while and even after i when overseas she says he is mine the last time i was with here was MAY 8/06 just before i left. I did all the online pregnancy calenders and if that were the case she would be at 39 weeks along not 37weeks, cause 37 weeks puts her at concieving around the 24 of MAY little confused abou this what do you all think

My boyfriend and I are kind of bad off. We don't really trust each other that well.. Well he keeps accusing me of cheating on him and I really do not cheat on him at all! I mean I am 39 weeks pregnant.. I don't have any interest in any other guys.. Led alone having sex or anything sexual.. It really hurts me that he thinks I cheat on him.. Is he just trying to start something? Becuase that is stupid and childish. We are fixing to have a baby.. and he still is acting like one..

I am 50% effaced and 0% dialated. Does it mean I am closer to having my baby the more effaced I am or the more dialated. I hear of people being dialated and not effaced all the time, but never the other way around. Could I expect a baby this week?

I am so excited! I am pregnant with my first child after just one month of trying!!! Although I am feeling a little weird. My hubby and I are just sooo happy yet i feel like i am a fat cow already. I am 5'6 and my weight bounces between 135 and 150 depending on seasons.... u know summer ur more active and winter u are a couch potato. I eat farily well and i dont sit on my butt all day. Although ever since i found out i am pregnant I feel fat and this is taking some adjusting too. B/c when u get ur period u are bloated but it goes away... or if ur constipated ur feeling blocked up but then ur flat tummy comes back. But man after just eating dinner i look like im 3 or 4 months pregnant! I feel so bloated and gross in my tummy area but so blessed b/c i have a baby growing inside me. Its so confusing i guess b/c this is my first. I just dont want people thinking i am a fat cow b/c i have a lil tummy and it would be questionable to the average joe .... is she pregnant or just fat!

I might VERY well be pregnant (read my other questions for more info) and I'm freaking out.. when we had sex he didn't have a girlfriend.. but now he does. He doesn't know I might be pregnant because I don't want to tell him anything until I am 100% sure. I hung out with him a couple days ago though and he asked me if I was pregnant and said "You look fatter, your boobs are bigger, and you've been acting moody" I didn't say anything and just instead laughed it off. I'm going to wait about a week and take a pregnancy test. I took one about 3 weeks ago and it was negative but I think it was too early to tell. If I am, should I tell him over the phone or in person?!! I'm just afraid in person I would be at a loss for words. So how would I say it?? And guys, which one would you prefer?!

ive had a lot of negitive prengnancy test results for the past 3 months. but lately my lower stomach is very hard and kind of hurts it i press in. last night it was harder than ever...my breasts are very sore and im very very tired when i get home with horrible back pain.....i also am ethier constapated or have diherria (exuse the spelling) what did u guys experience while pregnant?

I would love to have a drug free labor, well, at least an epidural free labor and delivery... What do you guys think? Are you gonna ask for one right away, or try to do it naturally? I know that epidurals CAN cause many side effects, but do the cons out weight the pros, or vice versa??!!
