Yes. But it is a pain that is immediately an afterthought when you see that little baby that was just born. . .

You know what they say - anything worth having is going to be hard to get. The pain is the "hard"; the baby is the prize.

Usually it REALLY hurts--- but it is REALLY worth it!
Watch some of those childbirth shows on the health channel on TV.
Once in a while you'll hear of a woman who has an almost totally painless childbirth-- a labor that last only a few minutes, in fact. But that is rare!
There's a lot of work involved in opening up the cervix from 0 cm to 10 cm to get the baby out of the womb--- and then pushing it the rest of the way out into the world.
That's why it's called labor!

Think about it... A head the size of like a cantaloupe and a half... coming out of a hole only 10 centimeters big... not to mention pre-labor and labor pains... contractions... come on now... Hell yeah it hurts, but the outcome and the miracle of a child is so worth it

yes it does hurt. but not as much as your brain says it does. if it hurt so much why do peope go back and do it many times over? (they forget the pain). my sister said on a scale of 1 - 10 hers was about a 7 and that was naturally just with the happy gas

a kind of pain that can easilly forgotten, 2 minutes after giving birth, believe me.

after 30 yrs of living in this world i finally use the word " AMAZING", when i gave birth to my son.my point is don't think about the pain, it will pass (very soon) but that little angel who cause you pain will stay with you.

In my opinion IT HURTS really really bad, but in my case I wouldn't dilate so they had to induce which makes thing more intense than they already where. then they broke my water for me then an emergency c-section . My advice take the epidural it works wonders.

to give birth didn't really hurt.,contractions did, i didn't have an epidural. More painful contractions when labor induced.

Yes, it does. Even if you get an Epidural you still may feel lots of pressure.
