An abortion is OK as long as the woman who is in the situation is OK with it. It is not up to ANYONE else, not anyone, not the government, the catholics, the fundamental nut jobs, men, women, and especially not the children holding up abortion propaganda.
No matter what, when, how, healing is involved. Both physically and mentally. Everyone else needs to stay the hell out of it.

I don't think it's ever ok, honestly if I got raped I would have the baby anyways and if I truly didn't want the baby when it was born I would give it up for adoption. Abortion kills people. 46 million abortions happen every year and surprisingly only 50 over those feti aborted actually live. I firmly am against abortion there is no situation I can think of that you couldn't prevent or give the baby up for adoption later. Only 6% of all abortions are becuase of rape or insest, 1% in because of complications such as the baby or mother could die at birth the other 93% is because they are unwanted or an inconvence. If you were going to risk possibly getting pregnant I would find out before I did ANYTHING wether or not I could give birth saftly if the time came.

It's only okay when you can live with the knowledge of what you did. Meaning that in my case it would never be okay, but some people don't see that little heartbeat in their tummy as a living being for some reason.
Some people say it's okay when it's rape or incest...but I still don't think I would do it, because my best friend in elementary school was a girl who was conceived of rape...and she was the sweetest, most precious person I ever met...and I don't think she deserved to die (in case you're wondering, she was not adopted...her mom was very brave and raised her herself).
Others think it's okay if the baby is going to die, or be deformed, or only have half a brain...in this case, I do not know, because I don't know of the circumstances and I haven't been there.
But to have an abortion just because I was too lazy to find a condom one time...that's just ridiculous and selfish and cruel and irresponsible, above all.
However, this is a very touchy subject, and there's no way everyone's going to agree. I wouldn't judge another woman if she did it because I don't know her situation, but I know what my morals are and I know I wouldn't do it. It just depends on which is more important to you: 9 months of getting big and being embarassed, or the rest of your life knowing what you did. It weighs different was for different people.

I think you have it right. Though I consider myself to be adimently pro life, you and I probably actually have similar veiws on the subject. Like I said I am prolife and will say so if asked, however, I have long sense given up trying to argue people into believing the way I do. The way I see it. Most people have their minds made up and nothing you or I or anyone else says will make a difference. Anyway, my point is that I now see it as a personal choice I have made, that I under no circumstance would have an abortion. So to those people who are pro choicers that do want to argue, I just say, you believe in chioce and I have made mine. I honestly feel that I would rather die than kill my child, if that child would go on to live, so I suppose there is one condition under which I would find abortion tragic, but acceptable and that is in cases similar to a tubal pregnancy in which the embryo or fetus has no chance of survival AND the mothers life is in danger from a tube rupture. Even then however, I feel that i leave deep emotional scares on a woman.

I personally think that if some one is raped and they are physically able to have the baby (they won't die during birth) then they should have it and give it up for adoption. Also I think the only one circumstance to have an abortion would be in rare cases where there is a 12 yr old pregnant via a rape that can not give birth with out dieing her self then maybe it would be ok, but still hard to justify. Not ok to have an abortion b/c people are not responsible enought to use protection--abortion is not birth control.

I do not think any child wants to be a child of a crime. I only think that abortion should be an optionion if the women reports the crime and has a rape kit done which of course would be on record before conception. Even with adoption one day of course they are going to want to meet their parents well one will be in jail and the child will be a bad memory to the other. I think if the abortion is done before six weeks when the heart starts to beat thats the way to go. The only other case i think abortion is okay is when the mothers life is in danger and the only way to save her.

Killing innocent human beings is never okay, and every abortion kills an innocent human being. For those who say that abortion is acceptable in the case of rape, would you kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Is the child less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of her conception? Should children be punished with death for the crime of their fathers?
If a father impregnanted his daughter, chances are that the baby would NOT be deformed. However, even if the baby was ill or disabled in some way, that is not a crime worthy of death. The baby would be totally innocent and deserving of love and protection. We are all imperfect. That doesn't mean other people have the right to kill us.

You need to ask yourself if you really believe women should have the "choice" to kill their sons and daughters. If you don't think they should have the choice to kill their born children, why should they be allowed to kill children in their womb?

Techniquely, it is not ever okay, but I have never been raped, or pregnant by a rapist, so therefore I cannot say what I'd do! Everyone has choices in this life to make and well we can all hope we make the right ones, or learn from our mistakes! I do not beleive in abortion , but really in rape, I could not judge! I really do not know what I'd do!!!!!!!!!!!! But killing a baby is wrong, so I hope I never have to find out what I would do!!!

Abortion is 100% legal and every woman has the right to choose to have an abortion for whatever reason. No matter what the reason it is it is the woman's decision.
My Body
My Sexuality
My Uterus
My Vagina
My Morals
My Life
My Choice
Not Yours
That is why it is okay.
