My friend had her last period around mid october. It is february now so she should be around 4 months period right? She took pregnancy tests in the beginning of december and both were negative. She never actually had intercourse but due to not having a period in a long time, we've been checking pregnancy symptoms just in case. She also has no morning sickness, cravings, severe back pains. She has been gaining weight but she also is under a great deal of pressure and eats late at night. My question is, do you think shes pregnant and if so, should she be experiencing symptoms by now?

Were both college students but never engaged in any sexual activities before so we're a little concerned. I told her to go to GYN but she's afraid. THANKS FOR ALL THE INPUT SO FAR!!!

If she is stressing about it everyday then thats gonna make her feel like shes pregnant when she is really not. I don't sound like she is pregnant if she didn't get a positive in December, you should see a positive after a week after your late, the day your late, or up to 4 days before missed period. Yeah eatting at night is not good because your body doesn't have enough time to digest the food because your sleeping and not moving around, so that could make her gain weight. Maybe she should go see a doctor things like stress, cervical cancers and other diseases, medications, obesity, underweight, and things like that could make you late but she would look pregnant now and probably almost feel the baby kick that don't sound right have her go to a free clinic or planned parent hood and get checked out incase its serious.

Are either of you taking or were taking any kind of pregnancy pills? Those can sometimes cause you to not have your period for a few months after you get off them, they can also cause back pains and morning sickness. Craving could just be hormonal and not really related to pregancy I would go see your doctor right away though or a gynocologist, they can take a blood test and tell if your hormonal level ie high enough for you to start your periods again, or if you are ovulating like you should, go see your doctor asap.

She's not pregnant. Stress definitely plays a factor in f'ing up a woman's period, however, although I couldn't say for sure that that is the cause for it. A simpler question...has your friend gone to a doctor yet? They'd have all the anwers you need. That's what they're there for. I would suggest you check with the "experts" on this matter before stressing yourself out over a presumed pregnancy.

If her genitals did not come in contact with the genitals of a member of the opposite sex, there's no way she could be pregnant.

She needs to be checked by a physician. There are classic "textbook" symptoms that go along with pregnancy, but not everyone has them. She's better off getting confirmation from a doctor to make sure something isn't seriously wrong with her reproductive system.

A woman's period can be adversely affected by stress, bad diet, and other factors. If she never had intercourse, experienced no symptoms, and tests were negative, she's likely not pregnant. However, the best way to tell is for her to ask her doctor for a quantitative hCG blood test.

I think that she needs to go to the doctors and find out what is really wrong with her. A lot of people are lucky not to have symptoms durning pregnancy so if she is pregnant be happy that you are not getting sick; or having any back aches.

she needs to see a DR. ASAP! This is not good! and it could be something more serious if she isn't pregnant.
But then again, I didn't find out I was pregnant until I was 4 months along with my youngest son, I had my periods and everything, I went to the Dr. because I thought I had an ucler! Surprise, Baby and a Nasty case of Heartburn!!
Good Luck!

Sounds like you're just getting extra bad colds. I used to get fever with my colds. But it also sounds like you might have undiagnosed asthma. Some people only have asthma symptoms when they are sick. Like when they have a cold or flu. Get checked for asthma. Sometimes people with asthma need to have an inhaler to get over the cough part of a cold. But why is the doctor giving you antibiotics? Most doctors only give antibiotics for strep throat or ear infections or some kind of bacterial infection. Your illness sounds like a virus. Ask your doctor why he prescribed the antibiotics or find out what his diagnosis is. You shouldn't just walk out of the doctors office without a diagnosis. Doesn't sound like autoimmune disorder. Why don't you think it's asthma, you can get asthma at any age. Also, he has to have a reason for giving you antibiotics! What is his reason?? Did he give you antibiotics for bronchitis? Take care of yourself and learn to ask the doctor what you have! If he gives you antibiotics for the flu, a cold, mono or any other kind of virus, get another doctor! Antibiotics are for bacterial infections like I said before. Z pak IS an antibiotic.

there is no real definitive way to know unless she goes to her GYN or local clinic and gets a Beta HCG (which is a blood derived pregnancy test) otherwise you can hit or miss with pregnancy symptoms. Some people have them and some people dont!
