Pregnancy - November 2006

I went to my 36 wk apt today and my doctorsaid that the cramping and back pain that I have been having is early labor, but they have done nothing to my cervix! i know that this could go on for the rest of the month and I just need to realx and I know that it is good for my son to stay in there for a little longer, but has anyone else experienced this and how long did you go through it??

I had unprotected sex about 2 weeks before my period was due and I had my period but the bleeding was heavyer than normal but only lasted about 2 to the normal 6 days. After words I had alot of brown spotting. Now at about 6 weeks after I had unprotected sex my breasts are tender I have some cromping, im really tired with headachs and I can smell every thing. I have a bit of an upset stomach at different points through out the day but thats it and it seems im pickyer than usual about what I eat to eat something I have to crave it before hand... Could I be pregnant even with the heavey period like bleeding for two days??? Please if u know any thing help!!!

My friend's co-worker is half white and half asian.
Her husband is white.
She is pregnant with their first child (awwww).

When my friend told me, she asked what I thought the baby will look like.
I was like "Hmmm. That's a good question..."

What do you think a 3/4 white and 1/4 asian baby will look like?
Do you think the child will look more white?
But then again... aren't brown hair and brown eyes dominant traits?

I am scheduled to have a c-section in 2 weeks. My first child was an emergency c-section 5 years ago, due to lack of progress. With my 1st c-section they gave me a spinal and also gave me drugs to calm me down because I do not handle surgery well. My question is, since this one is a scheduled c-section, will they still be able to give me medication, other than the spinal, to control my anxiety and calm my mind down during the surgery? I can get pretty hysterical just knowing what they are doing down there and I don't know what I would do with out something to calm me down and take my mind off it. Please let me know if this is going to be available to me. Any information would be helpful and much appreciated. I'm so nervous. Thank you so much! I am 34 weeks pregnant.

Throughout my whole pregnancy I've had constipation really bad...until two days ago, when I started to get diarrhea. I haven't changed my eating habits and I'm not doing anything differently than I was before. I'm also getting mild cramps every now and then (like period cramps) and sharp pains in my crotch area. I think the baby has already dropped also, because my stomach seems to be lower (there is more pressure down there) and my heartburn went away.

Has anyone else experienced this?
What could it be from?

I am paranoid of having children. I am not prone to pain, and I am only 5 feet 110 pounds. (I always wonder how something that big would fit in and pass through my body!?!?) My mom and grandmother had problem free pregnancies. (My mom's fifth child she had gestational diabetes) but that was the biggest complication.There was no morning sickness or illnesses or complications at birth. I just always feel like I am going to get the worst syptoms with EVERYTHING that ever happens to me, and having children is my WORST FEAR. Can some one help ease my fears? Thanks!

I know that the umbilical cord is attached to the placenta which is attached to the uterus. And I know that baby takes sips of amniotic fluid. But how does the food I eat actually get to baby?

I've noticed that about 15-20 minutes after I eat, my baby starts moving a LOT. And if I drink something (like water, juice, etc.), then baby starts moving in about 5 minutes.

Any idea?

Her pregnancy was fine until the 8th month, she was put on strict bedrest and she wasn't exactly listening...she was induced and was stated that the baby "came too fast". The baby had to be put on a venalator and she had to be rushed to the ER to get the placenta removed for some reason or another...it wasn't decending I think. I was just curious...I was thinking of starting for a baby...but now I am scared to death...can someone help me out?? Thanks!

this is crazy my friend, jacky is christian. But she lies about EVERYTHING. The worst "lie" that she's told me (and still can't figure out to this day) is: she said she got pregnant about a year or two ago in california. and she went ther with her grandma, to get her great g-ma certain medicine. and she said that she got pregnant. and was that way for 3 weeks. and I'm pretty sure that if you're pregnant for 3 weeks that someone'd be able to notice it. Right? and she said that she was in cali for about 3 weeks and a day or two (she gt pregnant a few days after she got there). then she told me the baby died while it was still in her tummy.
and if it died it'd prolly still be in there to this day.
except she was skinny when she left to go to cali. (I was there to say good-bye). and when she got back (we had set up a place to meet).... she was still as skinny as she was the day she got on that plane.Today,Jacky is 13.she said she got pregnant around 11 or 12. I think BS

I have been in severe pain for 2wks now, where I dont sleep, cant eat, or anythingelse. I was trying not togo until my 2nd trimester but I could not take the pain. My ob sent a letter of what the dentist could do. When I went he took a ex-ray with a double vest and discovered I had a severe infection and needed a tooth pulled. I went today and had It done, with NO ephrin-ephrin. My concern is has anyonelse had exrays done in there first trimester and had work done in the first trimester and everything turn out to be fine? (key word, first trimester) I just worry as anyone would.

I am 40 weeks pregnant today and am not having braxton hicks AT ALL.
This is my second pregnancy and the doctors said the head has started to engage, I have an upset tummy last 2 days with diarrhea (sorry!) and the baby has been quieter for these days aswell.
But does no braxton hicks mean labour is still a week or 2 away? Has anyone experienced no contractions and when did your baby arrive after what signs you had?
