At this time, according to my research, the biggest known danger is that codeine can get into breast milk. But I've lived long enough to realize that what the 'experts' on medication know now isn't necessarily what they will know later. The question here is, what is most dangerous to both mother and fetus, the stress and strain of constant pain or the possible side effects of the medication? It is an individual choice, between the mother and her doctor. I think it is safe to say that the problem's with your nephew's children go beyond pain pills. But it is possible, very possible, that the mother's doctor wants her on pain medication to keep from further stressing the baby's heart. Her pain is his pain. My personal choice was to not take anything at all, including Tylenol, despite migraines and other problems. I should say especially Tylenol because I had enough problems with constipation without medical help. Ideally, I don't think any woman should take anything potentially harmful to a fetus during the first 3 months, including alcohol, cigarettes, herbal supplements and teas and prescription drugs. After that it should be an informed choice made by the mother.

She and the baby will be fine. Tylenol is one of the few over the counter medicines that are ok to take when pregnant. Keep taking good care of her. You're a good guy!

I had some strong headaches at the beginning of my pregnancy and doctors recommended me to get the "Head on, apply directly to your forhead" This product is not absorbed by your skin in any way and it works great!! Tell her to drink plenty of fluids, headaches is a sign on dehydration along with hormones raising. If prescribed by a doctor taking tylenol is fine.
At 10 weeks your baby is still developing and he/she needs the healthies foods and lots of water and meds free life while in the womb.

Yes you can take it but I was told not to take extra strength; only regular. I had a heck of a time finding it though. A lot of stores only carry extra strength theses days. If you find that is the case you can take one and a half extra strength and it is the same as 2 regular Tylenol. She should check with her doctor too just in case but as long as she is not having anything abnormal in regards to her pregnancy everything is just fine.

My doctor said it's ok. I took tylenol a couple of times during my first pregnancy with my daughter and she's fine. She is not suppose to take anything with ibuprofen in it though.

Tylenol is perfectly safe to take in any stage of pregnancy as long as it's according to package directions and as long as her Dr says that it's ok.

it is ok to take tylenol, it is pretty much the only thing that you can take while you are pregnant and it will become your bestfriend, especially if you are having a miserable pregnancy.
