How many of you call your child a bad boy or girl when they do something wrong? Why? I always tell my kids that you are a good girl/boy but you made a bad choice. Don't you think if you tell your kids they are bad they will start to believe this. Kids are not bad they are just kids and make wrong choices. Agree? disagree?

In my area there are a lot of unwed parents having babies. In the paper they publish new baby's names and they almost always have the dad's last name. Why do women not seem to understand that if he didn't marry (or at least set a date) the moment the second line appeared on the pregnancy test, that he probably won't (that's just statistics)? Since the mother's still generally end up with custody, it would be so much easier to share the same last name with their child(ren). Imagine, every time the teacher calls you from school, they will assume you have the same last name. When you make doctors appointments or pick up prescriptions you will have to explain your relationship. At most they should hyphenate both last names together. Why are all these unwed mothers still giving their child(ren) the dad's last name?

I would like to do some research on this on the net but I need a name... if you can help it would be much appreciate!!!

I recently had my 1st baby dec 4th. I was to return to work Jan18th and i did just that. But when i went in they told me that the boss was on vacation and that she needed a Dr's note releasing me back to work, and to meet to discuss hours! I got the note the next day and just had my meeting with the boss yesterday!! She told me that i wasn't needed there anymore and that she didn't think i was happy with the job?!?! Later on last night a friend of mine that works there told me that the girl the hired to replace me when i was gone was told that her hours were secure?! So this to me means that my boss knew back in Nov that they were't giving me my job back and didn't say anything till now!!!! Isn't there some kinda law against this?!

We are young (I am 19 and he is 29). He is going to be starting law school in a year, and I am planning on going back to school around the same time. We could probably BARELY afford a baby. We know that it would probably be more logical to wait; we should be financially ready in four to five years. However, we want one SO bad...it's like an overwhelming feeling...we talk about it all the time! Would it be better to wait until we are more secure, or to have one now? We are ready emotionally; we want this more than anything. If you think that it would be best for us to wait and you have any tips on how to not dwell on it anymore please let me know what they are! Thank you all so much in advance!

My period was due on Dec. 10 but never arrived. I took a pregnancy test on the 16th and yesterday the 23rd, both were negative. I've been hungry alot more than usual but once i start eatin i feel sick. Also im tired all the time, plus i have noticed a little swelling in my lower abdomen region. Could the pregnancy tests be wrong or am i just being paranoid? Im 18 and in my second semester of college, so i've already thought about the factor of stress. Please help.

I need help! Our stroller was lost on our trip from Chennai. Since I'm pregnant (16 weeks) we're looking for a twin stroller. Our oldest will be 16 months when the baby arrives.

I'm stuck on what stroller is best. I've read all the reviews for Graco DuoGlider, Joovy Big Caboose, and Peg Perego.

Does anyone have real life experience they can help guide me in the right direction?

FYI: Our carseat is the Graco Snug Ride. We have an SUV so size isn't an issue. I want something durable and easy to steer (as possible).

I am getting my 1st ultrasound tomorrow at 7 weeks to confirm my baby's heartbeat. My boyfriend and I have decided to tell our parents about our expected little one after this ultrasound, so the news sharing will occur this weekend. I am so very nervous. I am 21 years old, my boyfriend is 22. This was an unexpected pregnany, but we are welcoming it with open arms. I am currently in school, while this pregnancy will set me back, it will only make me skip 1 semester of school. I come from an eastern european background, and I am nervous of telling my mother, but moreso my grandparents since they also played a crucial role in raising me. I am hoping with all my heart that their initial reaction will not be disappointment. I am nervous about telling my boyfriend's parents the news also, as he comes from a somewhat conservative family. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deliver our news and what to say if my grandmother will potentialy be pessimistic and negative in return?

I want all of our family, meaning me, my fiance, our new baby when born and my two kids from another marriage in the picture. My fiance takes care of the girls financially and emotionally and is their full time "daddy." The caption on the card would read.....

"all because two people fell in love."

the picture would be a professionally taken black and white photo.

but the two older girls are not his, would that caption still be appropriate since he is raising them as his own?

In Canada, maternity leave is almost up to a year with some sort of partial payment (it is my assumption), while in the USA, the standard leave is six weeks with no established pay. I know that the medical system in Canada is run by the government, but how can there be such a HUGE difference in the amount of time allowed to a new mother???

the girl i am babysitting (parents) called the day before yesterday and said they didnt need me to babysit yesterday and they didnt call me yesterday to tell me wehter or not they need me today. they didnt show up or call today either. i have only wathced her 2 times and the are very unorganized and immature about being resoposible. i dont want to call them because i am tired of dealing with their stupidity, for example i asked the mother to get me a copy of her work schedule so i would know when to baby sit but she still, after a week, hasnt given it too me. the mom and dad cannot give me an estimated time to get her either, should i assume they dont want me to watch her or should i do somthing about it?

My last pregnancy ended in miscarriage, and the ultrasound technician talked about it with me when nothing showed up on the scan. I'm pregnant again, almost 8 weeks, and I'm going for a viablity ultrasound tomorrow. I really want to know if anything is there, and if it's growing the way it should. I'm worried that the technician won't say anything and I'll have to wait till a doctor looks at the results. Does anyone know if they usually share things with you during this appt, like show you the little bean, and let you see/hear the heartbeat? I'm in Canada/Ontario, so it may be different in the U.S. Does anyone know? Please help! Thank you!
