Also he doesn't nap so often. usually he just takes 2 45 min naps a day but is really cranky and wo't sleep more then that. Help!

I breastfeed my newborn son.. 3.5 months old now. He has started taking less time to eat.. it used to take him about 20 minutes to finish a feeding.. and now it only takes him about 5-6 minutes then he is full. I try offering it to him again, but he seems like he's done.. and doesn't show hunger signs. Is this normal or should I be concerned? Thanks.

My oldest sister is super excited about me having a baby and her and her boyfriend want to babysit and stuff. They had a baby die last January at 20 days. The coroner said it was sids, but everyone knows it was something else because the baby had blood coming out of her nose. I don't really want my sis to baby-sit now cuz I don't trust her completely. My best friend also, I trust, but her I don't trust her 6 year old. He'll be 7 by then but he's bi-polar and is a littl emonster and I don't want him around the baby. First, is it wrong to feel this way? and, how do you not let them babysit without being rude?

My Grandson was born on the 4th of July and had 3 thumbs.
The Doctor waited a while to see which would be the stronger of the two. Now the one is just fine. He can do anything with it.
Makes mine hurt to see him bend it any which way.Works just fine. Does it's job as it is suppose to. Lee

my newborn has been strictly breastfed since birth (is now 1 month), and I have som pretty horrible, sore and never healing nipples. I only produce milk with one breast, so it doesnt really get a break at all...its in rough shape. It stings like someone is chopping my nipple off every time I feed, the whole time I am feeding and I cry from the pain. Would it be horrible for me to introduce formula mixed with breast milk into his diet? It doesnt hurt as much to pump, and breast milk is so much better for him, I dont want to strictly feed him formula. It makes me feel like a bad person to feel like doing this, I'm just in so much pain.

Did breastfeeding really cause your breast to sag? I have been breastfeeding my 4 old and will not not stop just because I have some ignorant people in my family that are telling me negative things to try and get me to stop. They always tell me that if I formula feed my breast will go back the way they were before I got pregnant but since I breastfeed I will have "saggy breast of a 90 year old." How would they know being that they are against it and know nothing about it? Either way I know it is best for my child and for my body in several ways. I am curious to know if anyone has experience saggy breast from breastfeeding?

I carefully removed it with a cotton swab tonight but I have no idea how long it has been there b/c I've never noticed (or looked) there prior to his bath.

If it was diaper rash cream, the last time I applied any was the last time she incurred a rash, which was last week. I don't apply it regularly b/c she does not usually rash from her Pampers.

Was this anything else?

A few times when she poops and it has ended up inside the vulva which then I've had to take a clean wipe and gently remove. So now I'm wondering, infection???

The residue is now gone but I notice that inside the lips, about half of her outer vagina is actually dark, black. Is this normal for girls? She squirmed around her tub a bit while I was cleaning it but she is not crying now and shows no signs of discomfort.

Is this anything?

I'm 5 months pregnant with #2...I don't really want to shell out the money for another crib...my daughter uses it because it changes into a toddler bed. Is it dangerous for an infant to sleep in a pack n play at night? Assuming there's nothing else in there with him, including blankets. My daughter's bed is in my bedroom and I would like the pack n play right next to my bed as well...I just feel safer that way. I can't find any studies that show it being safe or unsafe.....any opinions?

Yes, I will breastfeed my baby, breast is best.
No, I will not condemn others for not doing the same.
I've seen things on here where people are condemning people trying to wean at 4 months. I say, congratulations on lasting that long!
Breast is best, and support from other mommy's, not condemning, is appropriate and important.
Breast is best, formula is next. Don't tell me I'll have saggy boobs someday, and I won't tell you about the immunity your baby is missing out on.
DEAL?

I've seen that a lot her and in real life, I think it's ridiculous! Yes, breast is best, but not when a woman is almost crying in agony, or the baby is getting no milk! My aunt was pushed so hard to breastfeed her son nearly died 'cos of feeding problems! Why do moms do this and not accept that not every mom is able to bf?

Im strictly breastfeeding my 1 month old son. Up until now, things have seemed to be great, besides only being able to really produce out of one breast. I had been to many lactation appointments, and I had the nursing holds down pat, everything seemed to be going great...until this week. My nipple has a deep red ring right where the nipple meets with the areola (which I was told was latch on problems, but he has never had a problem with latch on, and I make sure he's latched on right each time). It stings while he's feeding really bad, makes my toes curl every time. It just keeps getting worse, as I only have the one breast to work with, and he's eating every hour. This is very painful and it doesnt have enough time to get better, as I'm basically constantly feeding. What can I do? Should I be substituting with some formula every so often? Or what? I'm religiously using purelan cream on my nipples...I've tried hot and cold compresses, which are soothing at the time,

What is the right temperature for a baby, using a thermometer under her armpit?

I was always told on my pediatrician not to use cortizone cream on children under 6 because it was steroids and could cause harm to the child. The label on the tube says not to use it on children also.
My friend tells me that I'm crazy, and put it on her infant grandaughter for diaper rash (her know-it-all daughter who is perfect and an expert in everything said it was ok to do).....Any doctors have any advice on this?

My daughter is 19 months old, and she recently was in the ER for passing out and hitting her head on the cement. She had a bad not. They did a CAT scan, and said she needed to see a brain specialist. They also found a severe urinary tract infection. I was told this was extremely rare in a child her age, and it is very likely that her kidneys could shut down. She has been really grumpy, upset, always pale, and she keeps spacing off, like extremely bad, worse than I've ever seen. Does anybody have some words of advice on how I should handle this? I don't know what to do, and I am so stressed I'm worried that I am going to do something wrong. Any type of advice, or words of comfort, would be appreciated.

My 4 almost 5 month old son has already been well into his solid foods. I started him a lil before 4 months just because of how big he is. Right now he's 27 1/2 inchs long, and weighs about 20 lbs. Anywho, he loved the rice cereal at first, but once I gave him the oatmeal he just hates the rice. He is eating vegs and loves them. But when I try to sneak in some rice cereal he spits it out and trys to his the spoon away and just freaks out. Is it alright to just give him the oatmeal as his only kind of cereal?
