Newborn & Baby - November 2006

My son just turned 6 months old today. When he was born he weighed 7lb 7oz (pretty normal), but since then he has grown sooo much! He now weighs 21 lbs and is 27 inches long. He's not fat at all. He's really just right for his height....but he is just so big! He wears 12 month old clothes! Are there any health concerns for a really big baby? I don't know why he is so big! I'm a small person, and my husband is tall now, but he wasn't an abnormally large child.

My baby is 5 months old and we have bought 2 bottle brush cleaners already. I was wondering instead of using the bottle brush and nipple cleaner. Is there anything else I might could use?

With like every burp, He'll spit up. It's not like a little dribble of spit up or anything, Normally, It's a whole bunch. Is this normal? Could it be reflux? The formula that we get with WIC is Enfamil Lipil with Iron.

I'm trying to be very careful but it is so difficult. I heard a newborn does not get sick as easilt as would a child because of the immunities they are born with, is this true?

I just need some support from other parents that are going through having a high need baby or have been through it. My two and a half month old is a high need baby and I'm having a very hard time coping with it. I'm irritable, and tired and i can' tfunction half the time. I've tried finding some support groups but they don't exist where i live. I'm just exhausted and i need help.

I know this is very odd, but my friend has a baby sister who is 1 and 1/2 years old. She has this Santa Claus toy. You press a button and it sings and dances and "skis" towards you. The problem is, whenever Santa Claus is moving towards her, she gets scared and cries! I know I can just stop playing the Santa Claus toy, but I think it's cool! HELP?

well my friends baby is 4.but she dosen't want to talk or use the potty.she also just like to be picked up like a baby.and she stills her 4months year old brothers pacifier and sucks it.and when her mom sleeps with the baby she gets mad and starts to shak the baby in the crib.is she normal or what?

I know breastfeeding makes you lose weight faster and it did for me. But now I seem REALLY stuck and I only have like 5 -10 more pds to lose so.. I am just wondering ... do you keep on any extra weight while breastfeeding? Is this normal or I just need to bump up the exercising?

my 2 weeks old son is having acid reflux/gerd problem i think. once we give him formula (2-3 oz), he seems to have formula coming bak to his throt and then into his mouth. he starts chewing then. some times he throws up. he also make "noise" . he does this even after 2 hours after eating. because of this he also does not get good sleep. if i hold him up right he seems tobe doing ok. we tried different formulas but no improvements.

she wants to be surprised about te sex of the child. most people give yellows and minty greens and i don't care for those colors. i told her mom i'd give a gift card so she can get what she wants, but her mom says no because she may not use it. i don't mind but have no idea as to what color choices are unisex? everything esle is coverd and my pick was baby clothes. plz heeelllppp!
