It is true that they have immunities from birth. Colostrum (when breastfeeding) is also packed with vitamins and antibodies. IF you are nursing then the baby will also get the antibodies your body is making while being sick. If not... well the baby will still have the stuff from birth. Even if the baby gets your cold it wont be as bad as it is for you. BUT the baby will be grumpier!!! Good luck

Newborns are born wit no immune system they start developing it for the time there born when you touch them you spread your germ to them and they slowly become immune. It is possible that your baby will catch your cold but the best thing to do is breast feed, your body is building immunities to your cold and but breastfeeding you will pass them on to your baby and keep him/her safer.

of course, the best thing to do is, even if your baby isnt sick yet, give the baby medicine every time you take your medicine(or every 6 hrs) this will lower the chances of your baby getting sick at all, because as soon as the immune system feel a little cold coming on the medicine is already there to fight it off.

Yes or course. They are still building up immunity so I would jsut be careful around them. Don't kiss on them and jsut kinda stay back until the cold clears. I know it is hard w/your new baby you just wanna snugle and kiss but trust me nothing breaks your heart like a sick baby.

Yes, of course.
However, infants are protected from some infection causing organisms by the immune complexes passed from mother to child prior to birth.
But, this is no reason to throw caution to the wind. It's best to be preventive.

I would be extremely careful. Babies get sick very easily and thats why when any of the parents or relatives are sick its prohibited to have them near the babies. They can become very ill from just one persons illness. Good luck and Congrats on your baby!
