My 1 month old has Acid Reflux pretty bad. My husband and I put her on the Enfamil A.R. Formula to have something a little thicker to help her keep more down. The problem is that she won't hardly eat and spends 2 hours trying to get a bottle down. The good thing is that- it did help with the spitting up.
So, my husband and I decided to switch back to the regular Enfamil Lipil- she eats way better, but has begun to spit up more frequently.

If you were me would you :

A: go back to the A.R formula to lessen spitting up

B: continue with the regular formula that helps her eat more and just try to work through the stress of spitting up

or C: try something else ( and give me your options)

Please help.

Oh, and her pediatrician did put her on Zantac.... so she is also taking medications for this

I have daily headaches and have taken Elavil in the past. I discountinued taking it when I became pregnant with my now 6 month old daughter. My doctor has put me back on it but I am very anxious about taking it. He said there isn't much known about the effects to an infant. He said very little is transferred through breastmilk...but I am still concerned. I am stuck because I can't stand having this pain on a daily basis but I also do not want to harm my daughter. I will feel a lot better if I know of other people that have taken it while breasfeeding and if their children did fine.

So, I just asked this question http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Ao_psPafdOwZNLr6iz.RXq8ezKIX?qid=20061030125727AAYtVwi and got some very helpful responses, and will be taking him to the children hospital as soon as I get off work in about an hour...would pnuemonia or the flu like some of you suggest last as long as four months? cause he has been this way since he was born.

I guess asthma makes sense, does anyone know what causes babies to have asthma?

Okay, so I don't want to seem like the mom that freaks out about every little thing, but ever since my son was born (he is almost four months), he had this weird breathing noise that he made. I dismissed it after the doctor told me that the thing in the back of baby's throats are a little large and make a weird noise.

I kept thinking this was the reason. I also blamed a stuffy nose even though the booger sucker (for lack of a better term) and the nose saline drops did nothing for it. Lately, my babysitter pointed out how deep his chest goes when he is breathing. I figured it was because he is a chubby boy and it just looks like it is deep because his chest is further down than his tummy anyways.

Then today when I went to see him during my lunch break, I put my ear up to his chest and I could hear how congested it was. I dont want to freak out of something that isnt a big deal, but adding that with the weird snorting noises when he breaths and the sinking in his chest, I am a lit

It is hard to tell when she is hungry. She will cry and get fussy but she can always be calmed down with her pacifier or white noise. She will also sleep through feedings if I do not wake her to eat. Should I feed her at regular intervals then?

I'm ready to pop any day now! What I'm most worried about is what my body is going to look like afterwards... I know diet and exercise will help a huge deal, but some of my friends have a layer of extra flabby skin and it's gross! Is this going to happen to me? Do any other moms have this extra skin? Is there a way to get rid of it?

How much did your baby girl weigh at 6 months ?

2006-10-30 06:48:53 · 13 answers · asked by mommy 2

Its been 3 weeks since Iintroduced solids to my 6 month old .
She eats very little (1-2 tablespoons ) and than after an hour or two I give her 5-6 oz of formula. After she drinks it she ends up vomitting the whole thing or spitting up a mouthful.
She never used to vomitt or throw -up before.
Is it normal or am I going wrong somewhere with the feeding pattern.
Advice please .
Thank you.
