Ok I know that you introduce vegies first and only introduce one new food every week if not more. Well my mom just told me that when we were little they had to stay with the same COLOR baby food for so long (ie:if you start carrots they have to stay on carrots and squash etc). My Ped never told me that. Did any of your peds tell you to keep them on the same color vegies for awhile and how long?

He's good about being on an every 3 hour schedule except for in the evening between about 6 pm and 12 pm. It feels like he wants to nurse almost constantly between these hours! He will take a short break and I will put him down and then he wakes up in a few minutes wanting to nurse more. After about 11 or 12 he will finally go down for about 4 or 5 hours. Is this normal because it's about to drive me crazy. I can't do anything else in the evening except nurse. Should I start pumping and give him a bottle or supplement him with formula? Maybe he is not getting enough. Please help!!

Sorry if this is a silly question, but I've always been concerned about it. Are there any risks with this common behavior? What if they were choking under the blanket and you couldn't hear them?

My daughter is 2 weeks old and I was wondering how long I should wait before I bring her out to run quick errands and such. I mean they say avoid crowded places but thats the places everyone needs to go, grocery stores and such.

I am only 12 weeks gone, but have already started to think about names, and before anyone says "your getting ahead of yourself" I know this already, but cant help it. I wont know the sex of the baby so PLEASE boy and girl names.
I like things that are a little bit different, but not strange enough for the child to be bullied.
Any help will be appreciated.
I liked the name Malachi!!! but my man and family hate it, what do you think????

My daughter is almost 2 weeks old and she is my burping nemisis! It seems like everyone else can get her to burp right away, and then there I am 20 mins later and nothing. I feel like if I keep doing the patting motion for very long that I'm going to hurt her. So does anyone have any nifty tricks for burping?

Eveything Ive read says that a newborn only cries for a reason, my 8wk old cries alot I have had her seen by professionals and followed all the advice colic, etc.
But she continues to cry and I cant put her down in the daytime hardly at all. Should I be letting her cry for longer? currently I allow her to cry whilst Im busy but she seems unable to settle herself even when left for longer periods.
Any suggestions/ideas?

I'm not pregnant yet, just thinking about names with my hubby. I'm trying to remember that "baby" names eventually become "grown-up" names, so just let me know what you think.

Victoria Lee
Monica Jean
Jaxson Charles
Jacob Otto

Thanks in advance for you answers.

I like the name Flora for a girl. It's my husband's grandmother's middle name. I found out recently that she hates it. I think it's pretty. I'm just looking for opinions OUTside the family. Thanks.
