Just out of curiousity, how much does everyone's baby weigh, and what size clothes are they in at what age?
My son is 5 months old, weighs 22lbs 3oz, and is in 18months sz.

17 month old girl is 25 lbs and wears anywhere from 12 mos-24 mos depending on the manufacturer.

My daughter is almost three and a half months and she is about 14 lbs. She is in the transition of wearing 0-3 months and moving up to 3-6 month clothing. She weighed 5lbs when she was born.

My oldest was 9 lbs 5 oz when born now he is 2 years and 9 months and is weighs 36 lbs and is very tall so he wears a size 4 in boys he is out of toddler clothes. My youngest was 8lbs and 7 oz at birth and now at 9 months he weighs 27 lbs 3 oz. and wears 24 months. He is a big boy!

My nine month old daughter is 28 1/2 inches long, weighs 19 1/2 pounds, and wears 6 - 12 month size, depending on the brand.

My son is almost 2 weighs 19.5 lbs & wears size 2 Skinnys from Gap the only pants that will fit him, in shorts he can wear a 12 or 18 month

My son is 5 months old and weighs 14lbs 11ozs. He wears a 6 to 9 months in tops and one piece outfits. He wears 3 to 6 months in jeans though because he is on the shorter size.
He weighed 6lbs 5ozs at birth.

My 3 year old is 31 lbs and wares size 3T...my 20 month old is 21 lbs and wears size 12 months and my 10 month old is 18 lbs and wears 9-12 month old clothes. I have found with my last two that kids are usually their own size!They grow at different rates!

check out the site below which has the CDC growth charts that your peditrician uses, which unfortunately puts your baby at gargantuan size. however, what may be more important is the weight for height (that chart is also available).
genetics also plays a big role. If you or your husband is a six foot giant like my friend, then it's possible that yes, it's normal weight, especially if your baby is also quite long.
a six foot friend of mine has about a 5 month old who is around 20 pounds. that baby probably weights more and is taller than my 2 year year old son. his first born was also bigger and taller at birth than my first born was at 1 1/2 year. over time, your son may start to grow out a bit as his growth spurts hit and he starts growing up instead of out.
unfortunately, if you don't have the genetics, then you should probably talk to your peditrician and ask for advice - including stretching out feedings, and not using so much. but if your ped is not worried, then I wouldn't be either.

My 10 1/2 month old is about 17lbs- yes a peanut- he is in 6-9 months for the most part- Some 12 month stuff is starting to fit him-

My daugther is also 5 mos old and 22 lbs, in size 9 or 12 mo clothing. She is exclusively breast fed, just started introducing a few solids, maybe 2-3 tbsp per day. Glad to see another baby like mine!

My son is almost 7 mths old, is just about 24 lbs and is also in 18 mth clothes, sometimes he wears 2 year old clothes! He is also over 2.5 ft tall. He was 8 lbs 10.9 oz at birth.
