Use a sink or tub with a drain plug that the baby can't fit through :-)
Baths equaled a big tub filled with hot water. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, "Don't throw the baby out with the bath water".
In the above case, use clean water
If you mean metaphorically, just be really careful

Try using a sifter to sieve the baby when dumping the baby. For security reasons please try it with another object prior to dumping the water from the bathtub -- preferably a non-living organism, avoid using a baby in this step.. The real challange here is to determine how to clean the excess foam from the shampoo you have used. The answer to this is to keep the baby under the shower making sure that the hole in the tub where the water goes is SMALLER than the baby.

Wow...are you for real? I suppose if you are, I might suggest removing the baby from the bath before draining the water. Usually works for me.

It is very very stressful taking care of a new baby. Get some support - friends, family, read some books, and realize it is normal to have feelings of being overwhelmed and frustrated.

thats really sad.... first of all it isnt going to go down the drain with the water second if your anything good of a parent you will keep watch overthe baby during its entire bath!
