I think they are offensive and unfair to people who are unable to provide breastmilk. I did for 5 months, but I know not everyone can. There is this commercial in my state that made my best friend cry who just gave birth and is unable to breastfeed despite vailiant attempts due to insufficient breast tissue. Her body will not produce milk in any viable, substantial quantity. Her son, however, is 1 month old and healthy as a horse on Similac. I am just at a loss of how these commercials go above and beyond to make breastmilk look to be the solution for world peace and Global harmony. I'm tired of seeing my friend cry. She's hormonal and since this appears to be the target audience, is the government simply trying to guilt people? It seems that way. I certainly don't think my child is destined to never suffer any malady just because she got my milk for 5 months. Preposterous, and wholly unsubstantiated. Putting mothers at eachother is not healthy, it's ridiculous. They need a better plan

I'm just curious since I have kids and they are always getting into things but nothing serious has happened. I'm sure it's not outside the realm of possibility since no home or environment is 100% safe.

I am sorry, but most if not all babies look like aliens when they first come out? WHy is that?

I know some of you will try to tell me how cute yours was but I'll bet if you step back a bit and just look you will realize you have an alien baby too!

my 4 month old child will not eat cereal, rice or oatmeal. He is drinking plenty of formula everyday so I don't think I should worry about him receiving his nutrients. He loves baby food (bananas, sweet potato, applesauce) but will not eat cereal-does he have to have it?

All I've ever had before are cats. I'm wondering if Advantaging my newborn against fleas is anything like Advantaging my newborn.

We cannot come to a decision on this issue. I am 100% against it, he is 100% for it. Read below, to see details.

Basically, I want to prove to him (obviously) why not to and eventually make him agree with me. And he wants to do the same. But! I do "research" and look things up online all the time, he does not. He goes by personal opinion and what his friends say. I go by personal opinion as well, but back it up with medical studies and statistics.

How the hell are we going to decide on this issue?? Any parents out there who had this same argument? How did you decide on it? Cointoss??? I really don't want to do this, I think it's wrong on many levels, and unecessary. Our insurance doesn't cover it (though it covers my entire pregnancy and the childbirth, as well as postpartum childcare) which to me, proves it's an unecessary procedure.

Please, either give me good reasons to circumcise him, or continue to convince me I'm right... I need to know! We've got 3 mo.
